those simulats are deadly from short-distance combat. If you wait for them in a big distance, u got more chance to kill him. It's not a good Idea to wait them right on the corner. CMPM and Dragon are the best weapon in this challange for sure. Falcon is good, but agains two simulants is a big shit.

@boyolashin2 It's actually quite effective to wait for one Sim at a time and pick them off from close range - if you start shooting just before they actually appear you will get a chance to stun them and kill them before they have the chance to do much on you.

@Laurelindo it's a good idea, but the problem is to foresee the exact place of the target when leaving the corner and starting to shoot. They can run quickly and evade you, as aiming sideways is horrible, at least for me. Well I'm pretty sure my sideways aiming is worse than yours, that's why I rather waiting in a big corner for them and firing their heads. Nice comment of yours, by the way !

this is not the hardest challenges, IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, 28 is much harder in the long run, all i will say is there is one spot to be its pretty obvious, and also the simulants here can also get stuck just like in challenge 27 i ended up with 0 deaths 5 kills, each simulant was 3 and -1 and 3 and 0. yes even darksims commit suicide since they take massive amounts of meth

the stars are for the # of players.... i think ur supposed to get something unlocked after u beat every level in challenges but it didnt work when i beat every level. n64 is so glichy sometimes. if u try certain levels on 3 player it freezes every time. but its still the best shooter game of all time.

This challenge did seem very difficult until we found a simple exploit that made a huge difference. Across the bridge from one of the magnum areas there is a sunken area in the corner. If you double crouch in that area and huddle against the edge next to the room the AI will have a tough time shooting you. Then just aim up and shoot them in the head when they stand over top and try to shoot you. Eventually they will kill you but you can usually get at least 3-4 kills this way each life.

i remember being able to beat these challenges pretty easily when i was younger... when i try now they seem so hard! i finally did get to #1, but i used a lot of cheating methods to get the time, distance, etc stats. there's not much of a payoff for getting #1.

You are not that bad. An amateur would go for that little cubby-hole near the bottom bridge. You should use the Dragon's second function to take them out relatively easy. In my opinion, the best spot is across the top bridge. Grab the dragon that is at the end of it, turn around and throw it back across the other side of the bridge. Take out the CMP and use its second function and squat down and move to the left side of the wall where the dragon sits. I usually win very easily that way.

Pretty easy that way, overmore the sims will always get a lot of weapons before going for you, which means more dragons -> more mines. Can be done pretty easily with that method.

I think I read an interview or FAQ somewhere that said the DarkSims actually "cheat"... like they can open doors that are behind them, and shoot certain guns faster... annoying. And if they get the reaper then they are somehow 99% accurate with that shitty piece of shit.

I've just defeated this challenge for the first time thanks to a 7-5 lead, and stuck sims. But the real lucky part is that I got the win before the power cut 10mins later which interrupted my first attempts at challenge 30. Challenges 28, 26 and 24 still elude me.

use the dragon on second mode. this challenge is easy if you know where the pit is. grab a weapon jump in the pit and duck down take the sims out with head shots they leave all there weapons for you. perfect dark n64 best game ever for console have fun:)

Plus, I saw several oportunites for you to make a move for the Dragon. You won your way, which is great.

..Quite risky to be jumping in the biggest wide open area of the level. I'd like to see you do a video on this using those ideas, I don't see how they're not risky, no matter how many times you've beaten it.

The jump is extremely risky when there are sims around. But, if you know the level well enough, you can judge how far away they are by their positions on the radar. At some point, they wouldn't be able to run out and take advantage of you if you jump.

After making the jump, their AI has to reconfigure where you are and proceed from there. This is how you can keep them on the run while taking advange of the entire level to get Dragons for example.
