You cannot compare steel and concrete structures. WTC buildings had a steel structure, Windsord core was made of concrete (the exterior was made of steel). My sister is an engineer and she told me that steel had a worst permonfance during a fire than a concrete structure.

However steel structures stand earthqueakes and hurricanes better than concrete buildings.

If you compare this to the Twin Towers, you'll always get the comeback of planes hitting them first, which is a legitimate comeback.. Don't compare this to the Twin Towers, you won't get anywhere.

This is comparable to Building 7, not the Twin Towers. Compare it to Building 7 and there's no comeback.. Building 7 had fire only on a few floors from the pictures/video I've seen... this building in Madrid burned longer and MUCH more completely and did not collapse into its own footprint.

the bottom of the building used reinforced steel inside of concrete pillars. None of the towers had that feature. they were all open floorplan designs...
