  • Before I watched this film I heard rumours that this film was terrible in comparison to the first one, but it was actually decent. Yeah it was a lot different from the first one, and that mutant civilisation story line was so out of place, but still actually worked, and the battle at the end was really good, and killing off the main characters was really interesting as well. I just kept thinking to myself if Brent and Taylor were ever going to find a way to get home,

  • These 'Apes' movies have their own charm. 'Beneath' is actually one of my favorites... true... the dialogue in the first one is spellbinding, but I have an enjoyment for the 'mutant' civilization. Your points are valid... but I don't like them for their high art value... I like the romp thru the 40th Century theme of post apocalyptic Earth.

  • I was initially surprised to see how much you hate Beneath. When I was a kid I saw all of them on some AMC or TCM marathon, and I really like Beneath. But then again I was a kid, and I probably only liked it for the psychic hullabaloo and guns. It did fascinate me however that both protagonists got killed in such an unceremonious way. Usually protag deaths seem drawn out a la Boromir.

But you really prefer the Marky Mark remake to Beneath?

  • You credit "We'll Meet Again" to "Doctor Strangelove or How I Grew Up and Learned to Love the Bomb." Was that an original title before simply being called "How I Learned etc."?

Also what changed in Sci-fi post Reagan?

  • I dunno why the others hate you so much, even though I'm ok with Beneath generally, I do find your review pretty hilarious! I enjoyed it tremendously, and was laughing at parts (i think i'm having abit of a hangover though). Don't stop reviewing the Apes series!

  • Agreed..... Don't quit your day job. Your review sucks.

  • You of course realize that Ape City is in New Jersey? And that the New Yorkers have nothing but bluff bluster and an atomic bomb to 'defend themselves'? That explains it all.

  • Fransiscus is actually great in this movie & could never be confused with Heston, also a great actor(with more clout...)Speaking of headaches...STOP Speaking! "...and thier giant chessboard." is actually FUNNY--congrats on that remark. YES, & we're supposed to take you seriously as a reviewer. You were, however, RIGHT about them simply reading his mind. But, You were annoyed by thier psychopathic reasoning?? Agreed concerning plot holes such as Cornilius & Zira who were in trouble in 1st movie.

  • @Velocity9s Not that I don't value your viewership, but, if you find my voice headache-inducing, why did you watch both halves of the video?

Anyway, to answer your question, yes. I find their psychopathic reasoning highly annoying, or, rather, insulting.

  • @TheIrrehensibleTJ It's not your voice so much as its your tendency to wine. Otherwise U sound fairly reasonable save for opinions boardering on nit-picking. The psychics use telepathy & can form sentences instantaneously. They unintentionally overwhelm Brent in this manor. This would not annoy other viewers because sci-fi show things like this regularly. Concerning thier psychopathic reasoning; U were annoyed that PSYCHOs think of nukes as HOLY weapons of peace? A SCARY concept...not annoying.

  • Your review sucks don't quit your day job. As a kid I loved Beneath the best and Escape the least.

  • . . . WHAT A JERK!!!

  • Everybody's an expert.

  • Best part of this video: 9:30 ....That's not any better ....You ASS.

  • how much farting was involved?

  • i was never to crazy for this part of the movie, its weird how they called the two characters negro and fat man...rather rude...i understand what you mean there were gaps in the story. also there was a lot of racism .the chimp rpresented the japanise, gorillias were the balcks and the orangoutangs were the whites. and the werid thing was how did zira and her husband manage to get out of the planet they never handled a rocket b4/. and why was zira so hysterical when milo died? affair? lol

  • You're not very smart, and your review of Beneath the Planet of the Apes is horrible.

  • @Aliendear I fail to see how you can ascertain my intelligence based upon this video, but you obviously have the right to your own opinion.

  • I better double-lock it!

  • Dude you remind me of Hurley on Lost.

  • Its Darth Vader at the sermon of the bomb

  • I personally think the seond and third are both really good, and the first one. However I think the fourth one is the best.

  • just watched the first apes. and was gonna watch second. thank god i didnt. i will skip to escape now.

  • does it annoy you when people say that they love beneath and say escape is the worst in the series

  • @rstep00 I cant say that I have actually ever heard anyone say that. Do people believe that? Insane.

  • @TheIrrehensibleTJ go to this video called something like i review all the planet of the apes series and he says its not worth watching i was shocked escape is the best

  • @rstep00

I do understand that there are people who dislike Escape, I guess due to the limited amount of apes, I dunno, and there are people who like Beneath, though I can't even begin to see why that, but far be it for me to tell them their opinion is wrong. Go and see the movies for yourself and decide, though I warn you that you don't like will take awhile as they're all almost 3 hours long. Not so bad when it's good, torture when it's bad.

  • @rstep00 Sorry about that double reply there. My YouTube was acting strange on me.

  • @rstep00 Escape is the WORST in the series!

  • Love dr.strangelove!
