Havana Brown cats are loving, people oriented cats. Ours is very affectionale, very smart, playful and tolerant of just about anything. He is a very special cat and his behavior seems to run true with this breed.

what a beautiful cat! I have 3!!! stray Turkish Angoras. I cant believe it! A 3rd one came to me, a calico, and she is so sweet. 3 girls..a white one, an orange one with 2 inch fur on TOP of her paws and bottom, and a calico.

I had never even heard of a Havana brown until someone abandoned a funny looking silken, solid brown (all except eyecolor) with red cast kitten at my apt. complex. She was in awful condition and no-one would help her so I took her in. Well, my vet says she has seen only one other cat like mine in her entire career! HB's r rare! She is such a mixture of gorgeous (now that we have her all healthy) and funny. She is sleeping at my feet right now a brilliant, funny, loving little girl! And, so soft!

I just did research on the black generic barn kitten I acquired 2 years ago  and recently found out she is for the most part an HB (though not purebred, more darker black brown, with the lone white patch on her belly, but all black whiskers). I read the official breed info and it describes Lucy perfectly. The silky glossy coat is spot on, almost no shedding/excess fur at all. She is the perfect companion people loving cat, and never makes a sound except purring and the characteristic soft cry.

I think my HB cat has more of an oriental look while these HB cats have more of a kiddish look in their face....still all HBs are beautiful cats! :)
