Let's not forget the man that was killed was drinkin also, no one wins. I will always have his back. He is a beautiful person that was at the wrong place, wrong time and had been drinking but then again, I guess that can be said for both Billy and Mr. Merlock.

I made a video for Billy and I feel he has owned what he did. He can not change what happened. I have told him how I feel about the State of Florida and his license being taken for life, Just another way to try to keep someone down. I know he will make the best of it. He can only pay so much for so long and then he has to make a way in this world. He works every day and teaches others a craft free of charge. He has given alot of hisself but then again, thats the kind of guy he is.

I was a billy lane fan,untill he run down a fellow biker in a truck an killed him.that is truely an unforgivable sin.he shoulda been hanged,drunk or not thers no excuse

He proves time after time he can't accept responsibility as a licensed driver, finally kills someone, and people feel like losing his license permanently is excessive? I'll bet that, if a drunk driver killed Billy Lane, all of his fans would feel that a permanent loss of license would be the least he deserved. Pardon me, but the favoritism in this country gets f'ing old. Billy had the same opportunities as everyone else and f'd them up. End of story.

I got to meet Billy in Dallas in 2003, and he instantly became my favorite builder by far! It's so unfortunate what happened. I feel that he was given a fair punishment though. I'm a little on the fence about the lifetime license thing, but a man's life was lost and another one's was devastated. Billy is a good guy. I'm sure the weight of the other man's death that he carries for the rest of his life is punishment enough. What a shitty deal... :(

We all can say what is right or wrong, I have been busted by Fla.cops and been thru the courts system down there and Billy got a fair shake in accordance with thier laws in Fla, It SUCKS, Laws down there are set up to prevent others from thinking that it is a" free for all" during the bike events. I currently have a Buddy who will be getting out this year doing the same thing that Billy did, He was locked up in 97. I stopped going to the ralleys down there, FTW to Fla courts.and the Ralleys

Wrong? yes. But Billy got what the justice system thought he deserved. The victims family has forgiven him. He obviously has not forgiven himself and quite possibly never will. And that in itself is a life sentence.He will serve his time and hopefully he will return to once again build some of the hottest custom choppers on the planet.

I hit someone drunk in 95,,,the fuckin moron ran out in the street like a 5yr old, ,he didnt die,,broke pelvis,ribs,no head injury,,,but i wanted to beat his ass when he got out of hospital and i got out of jail. Point is,,we are all guilty of drinkin and driving,,its just that sometimes fate takes a bad turn..but its not like the guy intentionally killed someone. And yes,,i would be mad as hell if it wer a relativ of mine,,but fuck, ruining anothr life doesnt get the other one back.RIP victim

Billy screwed up...plain and simple. A talented guy that had a great life ahead of him but the alcohol and bad judgement jumped in the way. May his victim rest in peace and Billy get on with his life after the prison term.
