  • The perfect knot for weavers for tieing up the treadles to the shafts on floor looms. Now I can change the tie up configuration at any time by activating or deactivating each chord by sliding this knot to make the chord slack or tight. No more crawling around under the loom to tie/untie knots. Thanks for showing me how to tie this. I won't have to tie another knot under the loom again (at least as long as the chords hold up).

  • This is crap!

HOW can I see what you are doing with your spaccy fingers all over it???????

  • Great Videos... Thanks!

  • Being a Eagle Scout is very helpful in life! I suggest your kids get in it whether they like it or not.

  • Thanks! Appreciate the video - very clear.

  • Awesome.

  • you can hang yourself with it

  • Fuck dude!! Can u slow it down... Slow down.. !! Fuck it!!

  • @MasteroAQW09 You could always used the extremely advanced "pause" and "rewind" features, you know.

  • Thanks. This is very useful knot which i use often. Good for kids to tie and untie their things

  • I just made one of these. Makes a great lasso

  • Thank you Very well done! A Great Knot to Know!

  • At last a usefull knot I've never seen before...thanks for sharing.

  • omg that is SO amazing. no sarcasm. Would I be able to use this to tie a bow string down(dont judge me)?

  • Thanks SOOOO much. Two other videos failed us. Your angle and method exactly matches the Boy Scout handbook. My son & I weren't doing too well with the book alone, but this did the trick. The hold-up for us was not holding the first coils in correct position while pulling the tail on that last top loop, which just resulted in a tight mess! I froze your video a few times at that part and we have it now. He can achieve the big tenderfoot scout rank!

  • What can this knot be used for? Can you give me an example?

  • @remodrummer99 tying down a tarp, tent, etc.

  • isnt tht a hangmans nouse?

  • @HowieRulz303 no.

  • dude, I tried this exactly the way you said to do it50 times and I got nothin

  • @ihatecool45 then you did not do it EXACTLY the way he did it.

  • Thank you for the information.

  • Well done. Good clear instructions. You even kept your hand OUT of the way. I've watched videos where the guy had his hands blocking view the whole time.

That might be a good one to use on tent ropes to adjust the tension.

    Thanks.

  • grate idea Thank you.

  • Great knot , Thanks !

  • yea imma call that a noose knot ;)

  • are you a boy scout?

  • no.

  • are you a boy scout?

  • @forresttrenaman almost a prusik kind of theory?

  • Excellent production quality, slowly tied, clear focus, good instructions. This instructor does an excellent job of demonstrating the Spanish Bowline also.

  • I'm finding that nylon cord does not work anywhere near as effectively because it is so slippery. Use a good natural fiber rope made for real knots and life is good.

Thanks for this clear video on how to tie a tautline hitch. It's a very useful knot.

  • nice, you can also finish the knot over the loop, easier to break apart, also put a breaking knot instead.

  • Excellent. Thanks.

  • Great! Had trouble looking at the picture in the handbook. The video helped immensely.

  • thanks for that
