  • I like Swedish version .. but that IS just great! I just discovered that a few days ago and listened to it like a thousand times right now <3

  • sweden bought the rights to this song. they are allowed to make it like this song. i honestly prefer sweden's entry.

  • copy of abba.

  • maybe Sweden 2001 sounds a litle like this. But it's not a total rip off

  • The swedish song of 2001 it´s a plagiarism of this song.

    danny

  • This should have won.

  • And BTW, the swedish song 2001 is like ManfredDeJesus writes not a totally rip-off, but a song with similarites. And when the song isn't a totally rip-off another song with the same notes, the song can't disq. because of that.

  • Exactly! They share a few notes, but that's it. And why the heck would we copy a song, that only came 16th place anyway?

  • All right! But is so many other cases of songs in the history, who have been close to another ESC Song. Here are some, I can remember:

    Sweden 1982: A plagiarism of ABBA's "Waterloo", Sweden 1974

Norway 1985: Nearly a plagiarism of Hot Eyes' "Det' lige det", Denmark 1984

Denmark 1986: A plagiarism of Kikki Danielssons "Bra vibrationer", Sweden 1985

Austria 1994: A plagiarism of Wind's "Für alle", Germany 1985

  • @DavidSandKnakMUSIK And Denmark 2010: Rip-off of like 5000 different songs :p

  • @bart122333 It's not so strange; the swedish entry 2001 and the danish entry 2010 is co-written by the same composers: Thomas G:Son & Henrik Sethson from Sweden, who also have written ex. the norwegian entry 2007...

  • Spain 1973 entry "Eres Tu" a excellent cover of 1966 Yugoslavian entry "Brez besed"

  • @RIDICULA99 that"s nonsense

  • @RIDICULA99 Yes, and Swedens 1988 entry "Stad I Ljus" is an excellent cover of 1973 Spanish entry "Eres Tu"!

  • @DavidSandKnakMUSIK ...and "Eres Tu" sounds just like Yugoslavia 1966 :)

  • Everyone is saying that Listen To Your Heartbeat is a complete rip off of this song, yet it only shares 6 similar notes, which are the first notes of the chorus. It resembles this song but I'm sorry, it's not a total rip-off.

  • das veel beter alsTom Dicé se

  • My god, i hear this song for the first time... and the swedish entry of 2001 is really a copy. Unbelieveable!

  • Agree with svipser

  • Luc Van Den Brande, what a disgrace.

  • I was a teen kid in 1996, I was totally in love with Lisa, lol. I even wrote her a letter wishing her the best of luck, I got a signed autograph back. Nostalgia...

  • Totally afree svipser, play them together, and there really is little difference in the tune!

  • 1:18 - 1:33 is SO Eurovision in the 90's! Love it :)

  • Try listening to Swedens entry from 2001: Listen to your heartbeat..

The Swedish song is a total rip-off...!!!

  • @svipser Haha how can you say its a rip-off ROFL...... its small tone that is the same..

To say that sweden copy this, is like saying Albanias songs sound like ABBA

  • @satellitboy the swedish song is a total copy of that song

  • @satellitboy

Actually. Albanias song did sound like an extremely bad ABBA rip-off - at least to those old enough to remember ABBA.

  • Episode two:)

  • IT IS NOT! It is just a few notes that are the same.

  • @svipser I agree ... uncanny that...

  • @svipser Yes it is

  • love the special effects in this one!

  • GOD, how long are the introductions lol?!?
