They just made it look like he was upside-down as the set was going back to its original position. They had two cameras filming that moment, one on each side and as the set was setting back, they switched shots to give the illusion like he had done a full flip. He hadn't. Professional cameramen always have multiple cameras and then another professional edits the shots later. That's why the DVDs look so good.
