  • don't lean foward as much and keep your horse a little bit straighter when heading for the jump. Good Job though!!!!! Keep up the good work

  • Your really good, Just You shouldnt lean forward the whole time while your riding or have your hands on the horse while your riding , its not right AND if your horse were to trip you would fall front and he ould run over you! I learned tha hard way!! LOL! GOOD JOB GIRLY (: KEEP IT UP!!!

  • Why r u leaning forward so much

    Over all cool :)

  • Bob? BOB? BOB?!?! that is so cute!! omg!!

  • GREAT RIDING! Just put some more life into it. Like energy. And leaning a little too forward

  • hey! you look good for the most part! You need to get the right diagonal for some parts of the video, as it keeps the horse more balanced. Also you need to go more to the center of the jump, and give a bigger release. Your lower leg slides back when you jump, so you should do some no sturrip work to get your leg strong so it won't slide back. Finally if you turn your inside rein more over the jumps, your pony will land on the correct lead. good job though!

  • you lean forward so much o:

  • u should try standing up at the jump or ur pony will refuse and also try to wrap your legs into the ponies side oh and keep ur heels down

  • hee hee.. bob... lol sorry soo um.... try not to lean forward so much, get it 2 point when ur horse is ready. i see ur a tad bit early. and also try to ride in between the jumps. I see that you still lean alot forward between them but yeah good job

just work on sitting up . :)

  • cantering looks much better for jumps in my opinion.

  • haha .. bob..

  • thats awesome you just need to bring your arms up and lifted of the saddle more if your posting but other than that you were anarutal

  • your a good rider! just bring your hands up a little more! but that was really really good!

  • cool

  • Hmph... you were doing a mix of posting trot and jump position..... if you were supposed to do that, ok, but if not, sit up straight and post, or arch your back!

  • make her/him canter! canter i say it will look a lot better!!!

  • guys, please look at my other videos and critique those too [:

preferably the newer ones, thanks ! ♥

  • Just a little friendly advice:

I know the jumps arent to big, the horses like room to stretch when jumping. So you need to reach a little more up the horses neck. Hope thats not critique...

  • Sorry but I disagree, when the jumps are small it's best to not come very far at all, otherwise the horse becomes unbalanced. I understand what you are saying about the stretching though - if you are too tight on he horses mouth he won't want to jump...

  • oh bob.

silly boy. this was before he started going nuts, right?:P

i only left yesterday, and i miss him already:(

  • well, not exactly before he started going nuts.

arielle was also riding him and he was bad for her.

    now he's just worse. XD

  • you should look at where you are going. it doesnt look like you are... your instuctor and everyone else pretty much said it all though

  • sit up straight, bend ur elbows, and you can definately be in jumping position before the jumps!!!!!

  • D'aww! so cute :)

  • bend your elbows.

  • wow guys, a lot of views ! XD

this was taped almost a year ago, so i think your critiques are a little past due ! lol.

  • U need to sit back before he jumps. Don't get into jumpig position until right before the jump. Also u need to check ur diagonal and leads a lot more than u do now. I hope I helped.

  • when you trot you lean too far forward in the saddle

  • yea i agree.. u are juming alittle bit to early tahn ur mount.. ur posting needs a little bit of work... try not to yank no him or brace ur self on his withers.. ur ur strong legs.. ur doing great keep up the work!

  • You might want to work on gettting your back straight and not getting in two point so early before the jump.

  • hey .

so critiquening wiseeee. i would say you need to stop leaning so forward in your post , girl! sit back and post up and down and forward and back. dont lean forward and dont let your leg slip behind you . sit back towards the jump ! (: thats mainly it , girl ! your post. kay, hope i helped a little :)

  • Not Bad :)

  • i thinkk your doing brilliantly! :D dont worry i always used to have that problem with not sitting up completly straight, but dont worry, your still learning so your get there! :D gorgeous little horsey too, very well done xx

  • I think you are doing really well! Just remember to check your diagnal and lead and sit up straight!

  • OK, so, you need to sit up straight, get your canter leads right as well as your diagonals! And your approachesn are terrible! On a better note, your leg position is'nt that bad =)

  • You seriously need to work on Sitting up straight.

  • i would agree, your 2point is too early, but obviously you are just learning, when you are getting into higher and more advanced jumps that is very important.

  • you two-point to early and you need to lean back when you are on the flat

  • and having constant contact with your entire leg- not just your ankles. Hug that pony with your legs! Keep yourself straight in the saddle and look forward. Your pony is tubby and slow, I can see that, so if you just sit without actually riding him, he will slow down and not jump well. Also what I see is that you get very 'handsy' - yanking him around the turns and bracing yourself on the reins wiht too much contact. This in turn leads to you not releasing him in the jump and it being not fun!

  • Here's my opinions: Your really, really need to get off his neck. Even on the flat, you are pressing into his neck and supporting/bracing yourself with him. NOT comfy for the pony! And it gets worse as you go over the fence, by not leaning back and supporting your weight with LEG contact and pressing into the stirrups you are 'popping' him in the mouth and causing pain. It's easy to see this falling forward. This can be helped by increasing leg contact. Think of stretching your legs downward...

  • You look pretty good for a beginner! You have fairly good eq over the fences, you just have to work on the inbetween ;) Just remeber to sit up nice and tall in between your fences, and look up! It's allright to post to the jump, because that way your pony will keep a good, constant pace, and won't accidentatly breack into a canter. Don't forget to bend your elbows, and your all set!

  • To start, carry a crop! Also, encourage your pony to ride more forward if you pick up your hands by bending your elbows, sit up and open your chest, squeeze with your leg, and follow his head with your hands. Also, when you trot fences, don't post to the base. Sit the trot for the last few steps (be careful, it may make your pony collect; so squeeze hard). And last, bend your pony through the corners and pick something to look at straight off in the distance to help you stay straight

  • It kinda looks like you are looking at your horse/the ground when you are jumping look strait and keep your eyes up... :) Good job!

  • It looks like you are always leaning forward try to sit up strait, but other than that it looks good!

  • Keep your leg tight.....try jumping without stirrups it will help keep ypu leg tight (also ride on the flat without stirrups)

  • Not to be rude but you need to sit up on your butt heading up to the fence anf if you do not you will end up on the ground...(i learned that the hard way) Also open your chest and push your sholder blades together more
