This game sucks bad. I beat the main story line about 10 hours in at lvl 16...what do I do now, stupid quests and gather gear and items? For what? What is the point in even playing anymore?
@JBernard79 well you can play as a vampire or werewolf or explore the world,it's really big if you don't know that,and if you have played as imperial then play as stormcloack, i do enjoy the side quest
I think they should have gave it 10/10 there was almost nothing wrong with this game the only problem i had was that the loading screens were a bit lengthy at times which is completely understandable given the complete massiveness in this game

God, I swear the combat leaves a lot to be desired (in melee at least). The "nerf sword" effect he mentioned stands out to me a lot. Man, I want the weapons in skyrim to feel like Space Marine's Thunder Hammer...
Besides. 10/10 is perfect. Nothing is perfect. No game should EVER be given a 10/10...

@planetwalker You have to play oblivion, its above and beyond the best elder scrolls game. Its very well designed and everything about it is just great. And however told you it was short it obviously a fucking idiot. It'll take you 140 hours easily to complete all the guild quests, and the 30 hour main story. And Hundreds of side quests that have alot more variety in them then skyrim. Skyrim is not a terrible game but its wasn't that good either. Oblivion is much better in every way. Trust me.
if people are gonna be complaining about glitches they should only complain on CoD games, because skyrim is obviously gonna have glitches cause look how fucking huge the game is, but CoD has small ass maps that have 100s of glitches, and no-one complains on that? what bullshit is this.
@jkdoorbinnia I'm not a big CoD fan myself, I prefer other, more original games to it like Bf3. But the cod franchise is one of the least glitchiest games you can ever play. There are no mega glitches that ruin the game, unlike the occasional Skyrim glitch. (not hating on skyrim, it's just true). Man, there's hardly even any minor glitches. You probably have never played cod, or just hate it really badly, because there's no "hundreds of glitches". The ones that are, you have to do on purpose.
I dont understand how anyone can says this is an 'average' game. Immerse yourself in the world and truly enjoy the beauty of the game and those problems become obsolete. I'm suprised he didn't mention bugged quests. If you play the game to about level 50 or so I pretty much guarantee you're gonna have 4 or 5 quests that you can't complete for one reason or another. Regardless this is a great game.

Skyrim is a good game but SquashBlade is right, its not all that great. You actually have little to no impact in the world. Quests and guilds are very short and linear with little to no choice. Magic is gutted, sure you can cast two spells but there is very little spells in the game, and you can't make your own spells anymore.
Skyrim does look and sound good, but as they say beauty is only skin deep.

some problems wiht the game you didnt mention. The main story line is way too short and when side stories and fun and all when it really comes down to it the main story line is what matters. I don't feel like it's justified to give Skyrim the same score as Saints Row The Third. Skyrim is the best new title i've played, completely uncontested by any other new games that i've personally played.

@brandalldabomb Thats probably because he played as one of the least enjoyable races in the game, with the least freedom. Because by the looks of things he played as a dark elf, which really directs your play to relying on magic as elves are absolute pussies in every other skill. You have no freedom of what you are going to do as an elf. Its magic or nothing.

was really cool and epic hearing the voice actor that played Meredith from DA2 as some divine spirit asking me to help it reclaim its temple, only to hear the same voice again as another divine being later on... that really drags it down a bit even if it is a minor issue.
some dungeons do look the same, you'll be in beautiful forests, by riverbanks, waterfalls, snowy plains, atop of the mountains, cities, the dungeons though feel the same to me. minor nit pick.

I played the original Morrowind but not Oblivion. Morrowind was a descent size game but I hear Oblivion was short.
Games are more about looks these days than game play and are way over priced.
For $60. a game should be perfect.

This game isn't even that great... It's actually pretty average for a game made in this modern era...
1) Quests are LINEAR and BORING
2) The guilds always follow the same pattens they start off shitty and low grade then you join and then they sky-rocket and become the "best guild"
3) The combat is TERRIBLE! it feels like you are slashing at the air...
4) There are no memorable characters, places or adventures that really replay in you mind like you would find in a game like Mass Effect..

some problems wiht the game you didnt mention. The main story line is way too short and when side stories and fun and all when it really comes down to it the main story line is what matters. The people are also very stupid. You could have saved the ENTIRE world yet get arreseted for stealing a piece of BREAD!

@brandalldabomb Thats probably because he played as one of the least enjoyable races in the game, with the least freedom. Because by the looks of things he played as a dark elf, which really directs your play to relying on magic as elves are absolute pussies in every other skill. You have no freedom of what you are going to do as an elf. Its magic or nothing.

the only thing that is really annoying about this game is the lack of voice actors. its just doesn't sound right when one actor is having a 4 way conversation with him/herself...
also,

was really cool and epic hearing the voice actor that played Meredith from DA2 as some divine spirit asking me to help it reclaim its temple, only to hear the same voice again as another divine being later on... that really drags it down a bit even if it is a minor issue.

some dungeons do look the same, you'll be in beautiful forests, by riverbanks, waterfalls, snowy plains, atop of the mountains, cities, the dungeons though feel the same to me. minor nit pick.
