That's a pretty strange stance to take. If a statement can't be verified, it's meaningless? How does that work, what kind of "verification" is being implied here?
So, what I'm saying is, just because something is not externally verifiable, doesn't mean it's meaningless. That would imply that the whole body of fiction is meaningless, which doesn't seem to be the case.
In fact, the opposite appears to be true, it's "reality" that is meaningless, our minds render it down into something we can understand, and thus find meaningful. In order to illustrate the truth, you must tell a convincing lie.
