Hallo, allways use 1% two stroke oil API TC in your fuel to protect engine against fuel system corrosion caused by too much alcohol into the modern ultra dry eco fuels.
Use 1:100 (1%) two stroke oil in your tank to prevent tank and engine corrosion if you use the modern aggressive fuel that contain 5-10% methanol (not good for the old engine and fuel system materials!)
@joeyyy777 Idk where you're getting kadrons but those are dual webers with velocity stacks.
If he spent the time and money to build this engine i'm pretty sure the last thing he'd put on it for carbs is a dual kadron set up. Kadrons are great if you're on a budget and are just looking for a few more HP but not if you want a show stopping fast bug....
thanks man ,,, i appreciate the reply ..true true webers they seem like they hav some solid tourqe and kick to go wid it its amazing a car like that can do some nasty mean burnouts with a engine like that very strong engine design cheers thanks for the reply man cheeers
@joeyyy777 Webers have amazing power to them when tuned right. especially with some stacks on there. :D
The only downfall to webers is their price tag.
I suppose if you have the money then they're perfect but most us aren't rich and are on a limited budget. Kadrons can pull some air to though if you get dialed them in correctly. I've got a set on my bug and i spent a week getting them perfect and the difference in power is amazing.
"Gene Berg" throttle linkage is the best, as shown here...........for use with any dual carb set-up............on a type 1, and,
Bravo to the MASSIVE 48IDA Webers too, they have been known to suck small children & animals off the sidewalk (VW urban ledgend)around these parts...........Az, usa.
Hi there. Really cool looking engine dude. I've got something similar going in my Manx Buggy. I just need a good fan housing so that I can fit the GeneBerg linkage to. All the aftermarket ones I've found are useless as the mounting holes are in the wrong place. Where did you get your's from?

When he says 48IDAs he is refering to the dual carbs. The engine is a type 1 which means it is from a beetle.
