I tried to learn some information about global warming and no real scientist would ever claim that it is more than hypothesis. Look at wikipedia, at NASA and so on. They just have models which often needs to be changed to reflect real world situation and some of the models offer a theory, that Earth is in era of global warming. But yet, the measured data doesn't enable us to confirm or falsify such prediction. Global warming is just an hypothesis.. and what Bush administration says... who cares?

Vaclav Klaus is a very respectable man. He is very intelligent either. The only thing which is not a hundred percent correct is that he is a bit big-headed. But still, one of the greatest politicians of the post communist era.
Its easy math. EU has always been a thorn in Russians' side. Klaus, too, is a fierce critic of a greater EU integration and moreover is a keen supporter of Russian influence in the CZ, which is borne out by some of his favorable comment and actions (see Georgia crisis, gas conflict, meeting with Russian agents, russian mafia). Russia tries to infiltrate my country and eventually EU to create economic and political ties so that she can eventually extort us. It tags together like a box of bricks.
A recent poll here in Germany for Die Welt newspaper showed that 85% of Germans consider the EU to be a dictatorship ! A different poll in Austria revealed that most Austrians would vote to leave the EU if given the chance !

I thought ok, what the hell is this about, I read the article and deep inside i could find hints of what he may have really said. I decided to try to see his videos on youtube. So far I failed to find a single one where he would deny that the planet is warming, all he says is that its not man made but natural cycle.
But lets be honest, most of us read just headlines. I think he will never win this fight, simply because there clearly is this crowd of ppl with built up prejudice against anyone who tries to dispute the headlines. No matter that the headlines are simply lies. Most of the readers made simple association and put Klaus into a mental slot inside of their minds just by reading the false headline.

I tried to learn some information about global warming and no real scientist would ever claim that it is more than hypothesis. Look at wikipedia, at NASA and so on. They just have models which often needs to be changed to reflect real world situation and some of the models offer a theory, that Earth is in era of global warming. But yet, the measured data doesn't enable us to confirm or falsify such prediction. Global warming is just an hypothesis.. and what Bush administration says... who cares?

Pleteš se, Klaus, jako každý, říká jen svůj názor a rozhodně se nesnáží ho někomu vtloukat do hlavy. Jenže ho nikdo neposlouchá. Jako kdyby se někde řeklo, že "takhle je to správně a kdo bude tvrdit opak, je veřejně prohlášen za blázna". A tak pro blbce bude Klaus vždy blbcem, pro chytré lidi (byť s ním nemusí souhlasit) to bude člověk svobodný s právem na svůj názor, který má v demokratické diskusi stejnou váhu, jako názor jiný.

Its easy math. EU has always been a thorn in Russians' side. Klaus, too, is a fierce critic of a greater EU integration and moreover is a keen supporter of Russian influence in the CZ, which is borne out by some of his favorable comment and actions (see Georgia crisis, gas conflict, meeting with Russian agents, russian mafia). Russia tries to infiltrate my country and eventually EU to create economic and political ties so that she can eventually extort us. It tags together like a box of bricks.

Its ridiculous how media manipulate us. I opened up newspaper today, and there was a headline: "Vaclav Klaus denies global warming". I thought ok, what the hell is this about, I read the article and deep inside i could find hints of what he may have really said. I decided to try to see his videos on youtube. So far I failed to find a single one where he would deny that the planet is warming, all he says is that its not man made but natural cycle.

Klaus není nejlepší prezident, ale mohlo by být i hůř (viz USA :-D). "Globální oteplování" skutečně neexistuje, resp. je to nesprávné pojmenování. "Globální změna klimatu" je asi nejpřesnější vyjádření momentální situace na Zemi.
"Global warming" is bad interpretation of current Earth situation. Better one is "global climate change". You can see it in each contry, state, city...
