Computerization in the office, and in manufacturing, has merged and eliminated jobs that will never be replaced. Many of the new jobs funded by job stimulus will result in positions that will merge even more positions together. Corporate profitability due to computerization is up, jobs are down. Even MBA's are suffering from the effects of computerization.
It's hard to get a job, I'm unemployed..as well as most of my friends. A conversation we had turned to robbing banks to get money to pay our bills, the sad thing is that we were serious. In my upscale suburb hood of 11 homes (22 people), 7 people work full time, 2 long term unemployed, 3 underemployed, 2 part-timers, and 8 retired (2 households with government pensions).

It's hard to get a job, I'm unemployed..as well as most of my friends. A conversation we had turned to robbing banks to get money to pay our bills, the sad thing is that we were serious. It's their fault that the country is in this shape, fire the old people. We young people need to work, the old people will be dead in a decade or two anyway.

It will take some time before we have people willing to really work; they're simply not hungry enough. Neither the number of 16% or 9% is really true, as many people who are part time want to be part time. Mothers with young kids, college students, high school students and such. The government keeps and shows those numbers too, 9.2M are working part time and want full work while 18.3M are part time for their own reasons. As for the "shrink labor-force", from labor force is basically at a stand-still rather then grow at >1% with population. There is some "playing with the #s" but not that much.

In my upscale suburb hood of 11 homes (22 people), 7 people work full time, 2 long term unemployed, 3 underemployed, 2 part-timers, and 8 retired (2 households with government pensions).
Things are getting worse - except for the pensioners and the banker at the top of the hill.

Uhhhhh....you guys realize that unemployment is a statistic based on people who are receiving unemployment benefits; which doesn't include people who don't have a job and haven't filed; people who've run out of unemployment benefits after the 99 maximum weeks; people fired and the government deemed it was their fault; part-time workers, self-employed workers, and temporary workers out of a job; and people who didn't reach the required wage minimum in the job they last worked.

@jbrah69 The Germans were also a tool of the people who call themselves "Jews". Most of the people that were part of the "Holocaust/Sacrifice". Were not actual "Jews" but poor people that were given a star on their chest to push to "story" and eventually their own country. I see a lot of "white supremacy" groups using this to push their own agenda but they don't realize that they are unwittingly also being used. Remember the age old tactic "Divide & Conquer".

@CommunityCam without a people a country cannot exist. Hitler worked a deal with the zionists to move the jews to palestine to create Israhell. Not his fault many of them died from diseases as a result of poor nutrition from allied bombings on the rail ways thus creating supply shortages. Yes there were executions for prisoners that posed harm to the prisoners + guards. However none died in gas chambers. Gas chambers were used to delouse the prisoner's clothing. No memoirs of gas chambers then.

@jbrah69 Oh shut the fuck up. Communist Russia was very anti Jewish. My dad lived there during that time period, and he said Jews were denied jobs and other things because they were Jews. Stalin also pushed for a separate Jewish state somewhere in Siberia, which was another way of saying "Fuck you, go live in Siberia on your own". I really can't imagine how one could say that communism in Russia was the fault of the Jews when in reality it hit Jews the hardest.
