I believe the the keys are actually plastic. (I have one) Enermax "guarantees" the keyboard never to fade, but within a few months the lettering on my keys did in fact fade. They sent me a new one.. it faded faster. They then sent me the black version, and it lasted all of 9 months before fading. Worse yet, Enermax now wants me to pay the shipping to return the keyboard. So.. buyer beware.

i have logitech illuminated keyboard... its 9mm thick and well its plastic but i really like it because it got light under the keys so i dont need any lamp or anything like that on my table... =)

i prefer ergonomics to slimness with just about everything. personally i would prefer a microsoft wave or logitech g15 to this.

my keyboards both light up. one only lights up a little. one SHINES in 3 different colors. the one with the 3 different colors is the Saitek Eclipse 2, and the keyboard that doesnt glow as much (but is better in preformance) is the Razer Tarantula. also, my 2 glowing mouses are awesome too, The razer Copperhead (brighter) and the Razer Lachesis (not as bright but better preformance)

That is a lovely looking keyboard but you REALLY need to take some footage of typing on it and the speed / noise it gives off.

Also, god damn it, that thing should be backlit! - otherwise it's quite nice.

Yes, aluminium is a conductor of heat. Why do you wrap some food in foil before you put it in the oven? Its because the heat will get through. If you wrapped food using plastic it would be harder for the heat to get to it. Cold - day is cold hands, warm day - burnt hands

unfortunately, no proper key curvature, probably next to no throw distance, likely not very durable. I still say that the best keyboard ever invented is the IBM type M keyboard, model 1391401.

Yeah, I totally agree. Almost weighs as much as some PC cases. If there's a keyboard to salivate over, the curves of the 1391406, the action, the long coiled lead - oh god, yes! ;)

That keyboard is pretty nice Chris, sorta reminds me of my MacBook Pro's keyboard. I like the angle its at, i usually never prop up my keyboards....uncomfortable to me. Gotta love the aluminum, very classy.
