If you had to throw it away each time it'd be quite the costly sport.

What do you mean by sliding it down? Like landing in a flat swoop with the board on?

No idea. I was pretty drunk.
Actually I think he's right. Some guys drop the board a couple seconds prior to landing. Others land in a flat swoop. Now that I think about it, the former seems like it would put less wear on the board.
