Guys get the USB version as they do the exact same job and you dont have to worry about using up a sound card if you have PC speakers connected :D If you are looking for a headset, then these bad boys will blow you away!! You won't regret it.

What soundcard do you have? In some you have a setting of using the stereo outputs as either speakers or headphones, the headphone setting is fucking loud, at least on mine.

i had a fatality head set also that i killed. im now on the look for a new headset and was wondering how do you compare these to the fatality?

im mostly interested in the bass portion because i love a big deep boom when i blow ship up in games. i have an aftermarket sound card so pushing them may not be a problem.

I had the previous version of these, the mobile usb version that is, before they were called NX,

and I was really pleased with them for games and movies.

perfect surround in combo with my sound card

but I didn't like the hinges, not strong, stable enough, and before I replace it with this new one, i would like to know if they improved this

btw, i get a new one because i dropped the old one and broke one of the bass speakers

I've had these since they were released, and I agree they are frikn loud XD

When matched with a good 5.1 soundcard, they are an awesome and sound much better then those "virtual" 7.1 headsets.

I've listened to quite a few headsets at LANs and these were only rivaled by a pair of $350 Beyer Dynamic pros running of an X-Fi soundcard. You should have seen the faces of the guys when I said they were only $110 :p

If you want the best gaming sound for your money, get some Medusa NX 5.1 headphones.

i just bought this headset.

is has almost no bass compared my turtle beach hpa2.

the plastic feels very fragile to me.

and its not soundproof enough so when i people talk over voip they can hear them selfs. Which is stupid... pay a few bucks mor and go for the Turtle beach earforce hpa2.
