  • To the question 'what goes woof woof boom?' I cant believe no-one said a terrier-ist.

  • @lukefurlong127 rich hall did

  • One of the things I like most about QI, being American, is picking up these little dribs and drabs of British culture (pop and otherwise). "I've been completely lost since the Clangers..."

  • "... on the AAAAGAAA..."

  • Jupitus is the only person in the world who's just as annoying with a swazzle in his mouth.

  • "Suicide Corgi." xD

  • "If I walked into a room and saw a man rubbing rhubarb on my silver, I would beat him toward an inch of his life and call the police!" Lol I lost it there :D

  • Someone I knew at school died in the same way as the scottish woman =/

  • I heard that as "second communist cause of death"

  • Nothing beats Alan choking on a swazzle XD

  • at 2:20 you cut out an amazing joke!! "What goes woof woof boom?" and Rich responds "A terrierist"

  • To be fair, the British in WW2 used bomb rats, terrorists in Iraq have been reported to fit explosive to animals and hide IEDs in carcasses by the road, and I've read of the Chinese using Incendiary Monkeys to burn down enemy camps and such.

  • "No one has a kettle like that" I do actually :)

  • OH ENGLAND! CRICKET!

  • Actually, the bit about the dogs and tanks during WWII is nonsense. There was a dog division in the Soviet army, but what the dogs mainly did, was bring bombs and mines, lay them out under tanks and leave. Mice and even cats were used in the same manner. Also, those animals never 'bombed' the Soviet tanks, because Soviet tanks were completely different than German ones.

Plus, few dogs (if any) died; training them was too expensive and time-consuming.

  • @EVILW0LFgirl The encyclopedia of weapons of World War II By Chris Bishop, page 205. Also mentions other issues with Soviet Dog Mines.

    Google has the book online.

  • This is 2011. I demand you include the new seasons as well.

  • What ones the odd one out? NONE of them! bahahaha!

  • What is it with Phil and Kestrels? :)

  • I personally like his response for the building material that's quite common in a particular Chinese town: bootleg Coldplay CDs!

  • I do have a kettle like that ^^

  • "What kind of a hellish quiz is this? Which is the odd one out? None of them, baa!"

    LMAO! Phil Jupitus = Win.

  • Love it! will there be a best of part III?

  • Comment removed

  • @Indijulichar That is poor. You're supposed to respond in kind by calling the likes of a 'thundercunt' or a pair of 'shit stained balls'.

  • @Indijulichar Moron, your bus is leaving.

  • @Indijulichar The world does not stop and start at your convenience, you miserable piece of shit!.

  • Sure, bamboo is a grass, but is bamboo corn?

  • Phil Jupitus + deadzoner boredom = a thing of beauty.

  • Something I'd really like to see is a montage of Sean Lock on QI - Free Myra Hindley, how fog happens, take all the money and fiddle with people, silhouette of their bollocks on the moon, ocho cardiganes, THINK THESE THINGS THROUGH, all the stories of animal abuse, etc.

  • @kisbie A Bill Bailey QI montage would be great too.

  • i love Phill! He is so funny!!! I love Stephen Fry too and its so funny when Phill takes the mick out of him!

  • "No wonder Twinings had you pal!" XD

  • lol Twinings!

  • "Now, Phil, what goes 'Woof, woof, *boom*'"?

    "Suicide corgi."

  • Phill: "What ones the odd one out? 'None of them!' Baaahahaahaahahahaaha!!"

    Stephen: "Hey. Is that me?"

    Phill: "Thats you!"

Stephen: "Oh bugger you! I dont sound like that! Bahahaahaahaa!"

  • ah QI. best gamw show ever. this just proves britain is the comedy capital

  • the bit with the swazzle- its like a dolphin high on weed.

  • "How many muscles are there in your fingers?"

    Phil: "1 if you play your cards right. ;) :p ;) :p"

    "I'll put the pencil in!"

The best imo. Yeah there has to be a 3rd part. :)

  • Where's "GOOD VENDOR OF SHOES, HOW MANY BARLICORS AM I THIS FINE DAY" thats my favourite quote XD

  • i love his expression when he says ' so they went through their bodies like a javelin'. So gorgeous :D <3

  • For the "second commonest cause of death" question, the answer Steven gives is wrong, as is Alan's statement that childbirth was the first. It's an urban myth that's been bandied about for years. Illness and infection were the leading cause of death for both men and women. Shame on you, Steven!

  • @elliesparks Perhaps the question was gender specific?

  • I love it when Stephen and Phil make each other laugh.

  • The "we don't all live in a fluffy-duffy Dickensian world of charm like you!" line has me in hysterics every time...

  • Would that it were Stephen, would that it were...

  • Baaaa! Baaaa! Oh Stephen :)

  • Have you got that exchange with Stephen Fry where Phill takes the mick out of his shoe size... something about having to buy shoes at a clown's shop? Laughed my self sore when that went out on air.

  • Good Vendor of Shoes! How many Barlicorns(sp?) am I this fine day?

  • @josefgiven Good sir you're a barleycorn too big for this shop I'll wager! Onwards to Bigfoot's Freak Foot Outlet where the clowns buy their shoes!

  • Last nights repeated show on 'Dave'

had his funniest comments, it was from the same show as the exploding Russian dogs. IMO

When he did the Three Stooges and Marx Brothers as Mobsters

    FPML

  • I just love the idea of women lying dead all over the British countryside being impaled by swans.

  • Reminds me of that Day Today joke with the woman killed by a shaft of frozen urine that's fallen from a plane.

  • What is brown sauce? HP?

    Thank you!

  • HP is a brand of brown sauce, its a uk based food type

  • Thank you! HP is a good sauce! Mmmm!

  • Love Alan's facepalm at 5:20

  • Gotta love the utter genius that is Big Phill!

  • "Thrown by a rival philosopher!"

  • dff YES!

  • lmao my fav moment =p

  • "oh england! cricket!"

  • "We don't all live in a fluffy duffy Dickensian world of charm like you!"

    LOL!

  • what does he say at 6:47?

  • I think he says "on the aga" (sort of a stove i think)

  • the best one is the one where phill makes fun of stephen about having a space hopper

  • 6:34

Actually we have a kettle EXACTLY like that one

  • Comment removed

  • i knew that about the russian dogs. Yay!! go me! :L

  • it's in most history books about the war. at least in the ones i read. ones that go into weapon detail and things like that, hah,

  • lol i read it in those horrible histories books when i was younger XD

  • "Stephen Fry for HP - BAAAAA"

  • I do love his tartan suit :)

  • Not even a swan? :P

  • The tortoise was thrown by a rival philosopher! XD

  • 6:00 hahaha

  • 0:42 i love phil's little shifty eyes thing!! he looks so cute and child-like XD

"so they went through their bodies like a javelin"

    xxx

  • ancient greeks, duke of edinbugh lol

  • I couldn't breathe during that bit about the dishwasher. So funny. :D

  • I was hoping for the joke between Jo and Phill later in the episode of that final part.

Jo: "I've slid down a barrister."

Phill: "Did you hit yourself on the knob at the end?"

  • 1:00 -> Alan and the swazzle! It never gets old!

"No one has a kettle like THAT!" XD

  • Phil: Squeaky squeaky squee-squeeeaak!

    Alan: Grrhgbffft!

  • Woah

    From 0:53 - 1:10

Phil Reminds me so much of Harpo Marks in Duck soup when he's on the phone useing the horns to talk lol!!!

    Espesily at 1:07 !!!

  • It's a marvel that anyone in the world takes Brits seriously. So funny.

  • Comment removed

  • I meant that in a very endearing way. Loosen up. ;)

  • Wait...

    People take us seriously?!

  • Maybe a few people take a select few Brits seriously. ;) They're a good race.

  • except for them not being a race...

  • Swans flying at women .... really hard ...

  • Go phill! anyone who doesnt like him should be shot!

  • Phill once said that his own personal favourite contributions to QI are the bits where he is allowed to gently takes the piss out of Stephen: "No-one has a kettle like that! No wonder fucking Twinings had you, pal!"

  • I agree with Phill then, these are the best parts :)

  • @kisbie

    can you explain that please?

  • @tiger55331 Explain what? Sorry, I'm not sure which comment you're referring to.

  • @kisbie

Ah, sorry- i didnt get what Twinnings was- i'm guessing its an english thing

  • @tiger55331 Twinings is a tea company, whose brand image is rather twee and old-fashioned. Stephen Fry was starring in their ads when this was recorded.

  • lol my mum has a brass kettle like the one in the background.

  • Then why would you watch this video in the first place?

  • Good point.

  • lol

    the carzy laughs

    and steven's melchett

    iu love that sound >D

  • ''he lives on a farm now, he lives on a farm now''

    ''his back's broken but..'' lol

  • 6:35- 7:30 LMAO

  • I love that bit at 3:36. With the knife in the diswasher thing. Haha! Great vid, thanks for uploading!

  • i love how polite stephen's insults are

  • He called Alan a fuck wit once i think

  • piethetrilogy, yeah most of them are polite lol :P once he called alan a "F*cking pig-eyed sack of sh*t!" XDD

  • :O stephen fry said that???

  • I think it was when Stephen made a joke about a blood clot and Alan just stared at him blankly (after firing off a ton of awful jokes himself). The clip should be on youtube :D

  • It is, its called 'Alan tells some jokes' or something.

  • That was awesome!!

  • I absolutely LOVE Phill's laugh.

  • Bravo bravo.

    I love these two videos.

I've seen them many a time!

Thanks for putting them together and uploading them! Good choices of clips and ..

    BRAVO!

  • Wonderful stuff. Where's the clip where they're talking about pub quizzes and having Stephen on your team giving himself away by swearing in Latin. I want a link to that

  • I agree! Bring back the beard Jupitus! Then he was like a funny pirate...

  • which is the silver/rhubarb/kettle episode?

  • best for last on this vid

  • Fry, Davies and the whole QI roster all rule.

  • does anyone know what episode it is when they've all got those party hats on, starting at 0:52? where he's making the great noise?

  • Series 3, episode 11.

  • thanks very much!

  • Omg! I almost broke my heart laughing at 1:00!!! XD

Alan Davis just cracks me up so much!!!

  • A swazzle is what a man puts in his mouth to do Mr. Punch's voice in a Punch and Judy show... And is a Hum-a-Zoo like a Kazoo

  • Yes it is. It's like a kazoo, except instead of blowing into it, you hum into a it. Hence, the incredibly original name.

  • the best joke phil has ever made at 6:54

  • I can't quite make out what he's saying, could you help me out?

  • "No wonder f*cking Twinings had you pal"... Stephen Fry did the advert for Twinings tea

  • Which episode is 1:59?

  • Series 1, episode 12. Brilliant episode.

  • i have an arga

    lol

  • What does Phill have in his mouth starting at :51?

  • It's a swazzle.

  • If that's a British thing, I wouldn't have heard of it. And if we do have them in the states, I've never seen one. It does sound a bit like a hum-a-zoo though.

  • "no wonder f*@#ing Twinnings had you pal!"

    LOL!

  • lol! "suicide corgi". doesn't miss a breath.

  • that is funny but I prefer rich halls "Terrierist" xD

  • Yeah, that is very funny.

  • I love his face after "they stroke him a lot"

    x

  • aw you haven't got his scorsese/marx brothers it. 'watch me play this harp over here'

  • Phill is utterly fantastic xD

Thanks for this. I watch this every time I've had a bad day.

The swann concept had me laughing very hard indeed.

  • I love his miming of the 'rival philospher' :P!

    A multiplicity of Lols!

  • Anyone else think that Stephen's laugh at 2:19 is really cute? Thanks for these clips x

  • if you ask me he's always cute lol

  • agreed heartily, what a sweetie he is.

I really like Phill on Qi

"we don't all live in a fluffy duffy Dickensian world of charm like you!"

  • This was great!

  • what is the episode from 0:53-1:20?

  • 3x11

  • I love what a Fry and Laurie fanboy he is.

  • Phill Jupitus... LMAO when i watch him!

Stephen Fry for HP sauce... :)

  • Aww I was hoping you'd include Phil's impression of Stephen fry going to china and terrifying everyone

  • It was in my rough cut. I felt the peer pressure to be all politically correct and junk... :/

  • Yesssss! Post the China one!

  • It's downtown Tokyo, isn't it? If you're talking about Series 2 Episode 3. Everyone was on fire on that episode.

I was looking for that one in this Best of Phill set, too. He's hilarious when he imitates Stephen.

  • Sorry to disappoint you.

  • Thank you deadzoner!

  • You're welcome!

Always happy to provide a service. :)

  • Aw happy to get it!

  • He is so quick!

  • "That one didn't blow up, he lives on a farm now"

    "His back's broken, but..." LOL

  • I love it when he slates Stephen fry, especially when he does impressions of him. Calssic.

  • "thrown by a fellow philosopher...yes"
