It is scientific fact that the first primates existed about 50 million years ago. Long time, no? Homo-sapeans (you and I) are as of now, the tip of this long lineage of the primate family. Genetically we are very alike to primates. In the beginning, over time primates grew larger brains, smaller jaws and experienced other physical mutations as they adapted to their environment. Of course these changes constitute another species of primate and so on and so forth.
