  • News Ltd have just announced they are pulling out of sponsorship of the worm within 5 years. Your little team has 5 years left, then it's GONE. Enjoy it while it lasts!

    (-:

  • We'll see! We'll just see. You'd like us gone wouldn't you? You hate seeing such a professional well coached team. Jealous? I think so!

  • Jealous? Ha! You thugby fans make me absolutely LMFAO. (-:

Proffessional? Well coached? My team sits 3rd on the ladder, has 41,000+ members and I've watched them play in front of a total of 150,000 people at the greatest sporting arena on earth in the last 2 weeks (the previous storm game drew 9000! LMFAO!). They could chew your pathetic worm up and spit them out many times over. The Melbourne worm is a dead team walking, and thugby league is on the verge of extinction. And yes, it's GREAT!

  • Thugby ?? lol So Running round playing a aerial ping pong is your type of thing, While getting a free kick for contact or touching the back they must be machines. 41,000 members why lie ???? The Crows have the most in the comp and the have 37,000 so get your facts right before you come on here making up crap. Just wondering how many countries play Your game ? you prbobly just a one eyed bogan aussie who probably drinks vb and belts up his wife. Hey at least you will win the world cup lol ahah

  • No Victorian players in the history? JAKE WEBSTER... Maybe before making stupid comments like that, you should at least research it first. Also, Peter Wallace and Timana Tahu were both born in Victoria.

And to be honest I laughed watching this, because I did it in my 2007 PREMIERS t shirt. HAHA, sour grapes. Maybe you could come see the trphy next time you're in Melbourne. HAHA!!!!!

  • haha, born in victoria were they? So was Gabriel Gate you moron.

  • As for jake webster, are you referring to New Zealand international Jake Webster? He's a victorian is he? XD

  • He is a Victorian yes - Born in Moonee Ponds in actual fact - You Moron (I believe that was the term). And yes he is a new Zealand international, but if you had actually researched it, you'd have found that, he is elligable due to one of his parents being born there. You feel silly hey? But then again, I'm sure you're used to it.

  • Yes one of his parents is from new zealand, that's how he got into rugby you knob, give me a melbourne born player with a melbourne heritage who plays rugby league, not some maori descendant who lived in moonee ponds for a few years!

  • Im moving on to the states now, just been working here, have fun with your little battle. And I dont dislike Austrlia, I like it, but just because something is Australian does'nt make it better, unless of course, you are Australian, hence why the game will never expand outside its boundaries.

  • Not sure how you'll 'continue' to watch thugby league if it's DEAD????

  • I'm actually more of a union supporter,a true international sport.

But still, at least Rugby League has a world cup this year,

Let us know how the GayFL world cup goes.

If they can get anyone else interested in it.

  • Thugby UNION, huh? A sport even CLOSER to extinction in this country....

This is a sport that had a WC here a few years back, and it's administrators said they would make it the biggest football code in Australia. And here it is, still languishing a long long long way 4th(out of 4). What's it like following a go nowhere dying sport? I'd rather follow an AUSTRALIAN sport that's THRIVING than a crap, pommie, almost extinct but 'international' sport!

  • In this country, big deal, australia is a pimple on the planet, Now your clutching at straws,Rugby Union world cup is the third most watched sporting event in the world behind the soccer one and the olympics, , and you want to claim a sport that is big in parts of one country is thriving in comparison. Give me a break.

  • Who gives a rats fat arse how it rated in 2003. Did you know the heads of League and Union met a few weeks ago (2008, that is) to discuss a merger of the 2 formerly bitterly rival codes? So they can both avoid extinction? Things MUST be bad. We know it would never happen, but it may be the only thing to save the codes. And if you dislike this 'pimple' and our football so much, why don't you fuck off back to that amoeba on the other side of the Tasman?

  • You always know you have someone beat, when they have to resort to insults,Rugby Union may have its issues in this country but is booming elsewhere, Afl is a sport that will only be big in this country, thats the way it is.like it or lump it.

  • Well, consider yourself BEATEN then, pimple man!

And it IS the way we like it. Exactly. I have the fastest, most spectacular, free-flowing and skillful team sport on the planet, with every single one of the very best players playing that sport, 30 minutes walk from my house every single weekend from March to September. And I watch it with truly world class crowds in the best sporting stadium on earth. Can you imagine that?

  • What aerial ping pong ???? Is that not contact game where you get a free kick for touching some ones back have to be tough to play that.

  • running head on into other blokes is not toughness, it is a test of endurance though. But in our game, that is just what happens when you try to break a tackle. AFL is much tougher cos you can get hit without expecting it, at any time. Luke Hodge played in the GF with 6 broken ribs, a torn heart muscle and a punctured lung, and that was from an innocuous looking knock in the ribs while flying for a mark. You'd never get that kind of damage just running head on into blokes all afternoon.

  • HA! You thugby league fans make me lmfao. (-:

It's funny how a couple of 3 or 4 line posts becomes an 'obsession' in a thugby fan's mind. You have what is commonly refered to as 'delusions of granduer'. Just like that arsehole of a 'sport' you like. Even the CEO of the NRL is accepting the reality that thugby league is a tiny insignificant blotch on the arse of the AFL. Face it, your sport is DYING, a slow and miserable death in this country. And it's SO funny to watch!!!

  • Well, we will continue to watch our thugby league,Storm will win another premiership this year,

You watch your gayFL,keep up your dreams , whatever they are,

    Everyones happy.

  • Melbourne Worm? Sigh!!!

I think I get it, worm rhymes with Storm, maybe , I may have found that clever in primary school.

    Which pretty much says everything.

  • No, you cant have it both ways,

You are obsessed with them, you cant ignore them,

Otherwise you would'nt be here posting about them.

The more you post about them, the more it is proof.

  • Na, their 'success' doesn't bother us one bit. We just do this for a laugh. Coz the Melbourne Worm are a laughing stock.

And believe me, we DO ignore the Worm. It's very very easy to do...

  • I follow a few different sports, and a few teams,

There are different sports and teams I dont particulary like, but I choose to ignore them.

You guys are sad individuals , when the Storms success bothers you that much, its actually quite amusing.

Do your self a favour , and build a bridge.

The pain it's obviously causing you , cant be very good for you.Move on , its a bit childish.

  • kiwi in melbourne, you mistake jealousy for contempt. That's all your news limited storm are viewed with in my eyes.

  • And where exactly does the chip on your shoulder come from, why does it bother you so much, no matter what you say, there is obviously jealousy, of the highest order, otherwise you would'nt be here , posting and making videos, we may have quoted Waldron, but his words do sum it up to perfection ,again, Jelousy is a curse. Get over it.

  • I wouldn't mind the newslimitedstorm if it wasn't for all the lies and propaganda and attacking other clubs and trying to shove this sport down our throats. They should have done it the AFL way and waited till there were local NRL players here before they slapped a team in Melbourne, but they got greedy. Anyway, the NRL is a sinking ship . . .i normally would prefer the NRL to survive, but if it gets rid of the storm, then it's all good.

  • Poor, lost, downtrodden thugby fans in this city. Ya almost gotta feel sorry for 'em.

    Almost.....

  • kiwiinmelb, your name says it all, storm supporters are ex-pats.

  • ginger and kiwi, you both are trotting out the tired 'jealousy is a curse' line which no doubt brian waldron has spoonfed you . . . please think of something different!

  • Jelousy is a curse, how pathetic, is the poor bugger that made this, I have never laughed so hard .

Better get used to it , or follow another sport, or , continue to suffer,

There is more priemerships on the way,

    The Pain, the pain. hahahaha.

    Thanks for making my day.

  • Jealousy is a curse my friend.

If anything we should be getting more money like the Brisbane Lions recieved when they started for players having to move away from home.

P.s. LRT is the only NSW player in the swans. the rest came from around the border towns, hardly NSW players

  • Jealous? JEALOUS?

A few weeks ago I watched my team kick the crap out of Collingwood in front of 76,000 at the 'G. A week or so later I drove past Olympic Park before a Melbourne Worm game, there was a crowd rocking up to the game that looked similar to what Nar Nar Goon U14s would play in front of.

What in God's name do I have to be jealous of?

  • keep being jealous and bitter and we'll keep on winning.

  • You're deluded mate. I have no idea where you're getting this 'jealous and bitter' thing. I follow the greatest and biggest sport in the country, and one of the biggest drawing sports on the planet. The AUSSIE code. My team sits 11-1 on top of the ladder. Our 10th premiership beckons. I DON'T follow that hideously ugly pommie rubbish. Life couldn't be better!!

  • All done with not a single Vic in their side and constant financial losses. By comparison, The Swans have about 15 New South Welshmen on their list this year, with more coming through.

  • P.S. if you want to get technical, Jeremy Smith played his first footy ever, here in Melbourne at the Altona Roosters...

  • Now that's what I call 'clutching at straws'!!!

  • Well please enlighten me, what makes a player from victoria? he learnt his football here?

  • he's a NewZealander you'll find. Expats a gogo, is that all you have to hang your hat on?

  • This is the greatest video on youtube

  • Onfield they are going great guns, but not surprising as they continue to rape QLD and NSW of their best players.

  • I'm not a manly fan either . . . don't have an NRL side that i follow. Just here to try to start to balance out the propaganda machine that is the Herald-Storm.

  • I'm a Victorian Taxpayer and i EFEN love it that my taxes were spent on defeating you scum... by the way remember there is a salary cap.. so i guess as normal Victorians just know how to make their money work better for them than NSW.... GO STORM.... GO QLD !

  • The team that can barely draw 12k to their home games in a city of almost 4,000,000 sports mad people, despite winning flags. A dismal and pathetic failure....

  • What's the excuse of the NSW and QLD teams that continually have crowds of around 9000- 12,000? i think you can say that's a failure...
