All of these ads for alternate fuels are a laugh. Look around at jet fuel and plastics(medical supplies,clothing,cars,shipping,furniture,computers, you name it) which are used for everything even electric cars. Please grab by nose ring and lead me. I am not thrilled by McCain but Obama seems to be changing his mind right behind him. Congress is the problem with no action -- Their job is to do what is best for this country not what a few people in any one state think is best.

It is in fact a funny ad, but it may come back and hurt McCain's reputaion with independents and some Democrats willing to vote for the McCain they knew. 1st, just because there is a lease does not mean there is oil. They could drill all over the leased land and still not hit a thing. 2nd, with the technology today, they can be getting oil within 16 months out of certain areas where they already know exactly where to drill, but the Dems are blocking a vote. Once the Dem allow for drilling, the speculators would have to lower prices because of new oil futures. Just look at how the price came down right after Bush lifted the moratorium on drilling.

We just have to keep observing and assessing the candidates. This is one of the most important elections in my lifetime. Unfortunately at this stage McCain does not seem a viable option and these ads do not help my perception. I would like to think things can't get worse (war, economy, etc.), but 8 more years of Republican rule gives me great concern..I find them to be extremists and ideological when in power. Rove advises McCain now and Rove influencing the White House again is very scary.
