What ever happened to bands writing songs for movies? This one's a gem, not only because of the amazing music, animation, and the fact that it's Don Bluth's last film (so sad!)---the "Wake Angels" scene that this song is in was my favourite in the whole film because of the way it was coordinated.

This is just my opinion, but each scene, as it goes with the lyrics, you use the literal visual scene....like "being on target", you use a scope shot.....when the visual is added, the viewer needs to interpret the meaning...not have it shoved in their face.

Yeah that's a huge part of it. Animeated movies aimed at older audiences don't do very well in america, if they are serious, and I think that's pretty sad. It's liek a waste of the whole medium. So much can be done with animation. The director didn't help, by giving mixed signals about who the movie was aimed at on HBO. I rememebr watching that before the movie, but hey it made me go see it so it got one person interested.

Well, unfortunately this one hardly counts as a "serious animated movie for adults". Conceptually, it was supposed to be that, but Fox didn't know how to market it, so they watered it down to a sci-fi movie for kids. Still it's a good flick, and I recommend it. Just don't go in expecting to be blown away by a really in-depth kinda plot.
