I echo those saying it's the best track on a uniformly fantastic album. It's almost a minisuite, beautifully paced, like the current of the Lehigh itself it propels you from one emotional stretch to another on a wave of bittersweet melodies.
@Sushi7331 really, why is that? i always thought it was so sweet and beautiful and but then it gets somber and moany. is it towards the end that creeps you out? i'm entirely intrigued now. haha :x :o
This song is DoE's masterpiece, as far as I'm concerned. AND Grizzly Bear's :P
Anyone who understands chords, music, etc. owes it to him/herself to figure out this song on the piano. I liked it a lot at first, then I sat down and tried to figure it out and by the time I'd deciphered the chord progression (which isn't too complicated, but it is very unique) and jammed out for a while, I LOVED it.
I like this waaay better than I like most Grizzly Bear stuff.
Dan Rossen is everything I wish I could be. While other pop groups are trying to figure out how to make a G open chord sound fresh this song has like 5 inversions of D... on the same melody!
@mossimo654 agreed. i pretty much only like the stuff heavy influenced by dan when it comes to grizzly bear. he's got a really unique song writing and playing style. i find ed's songs pretty boring.
This song takes me back to the place where dreams are made.

I listen to this song everyday and imagine me playing it on my guitar. I love Dan and Fred so much for making their music

The lyrics are incredible, I feel this album has some of Dan's most meaningful songs on it, very sad.
