We need many more videos about the food industry. I have what is basically a food science degree and I am surprised at how much myth, misinformation, and hysteria there is about food processing. People have formed such strong beliefs that they cannot be dissuaded with factual evidence. You can read the comments of some of those people below. If you want to learn the truth about food, you need to learn from food science and food industry scholars, not journalists and skeptics.

I know these people mean well, and it is pretty cool what they can do, but its amazing to see behind the scenes of what goes into most processed foods. Whatever happened to the concept that we can achieve the excellent flavors we want by growing food in a natural environment and giving it the extra care required to achieve superior flavors and quality produce the way nature intended with nothing but sun, water, soil and compost?

It was mentioned in a different video, by the same guy, that *real* materials simply aren't numerous enough to meet demand for flavors.

The example he gave was strawberries: If you harvested all the strawberries in the world, you would have nowhere near enough to meet the demand for strawberry jello.
