The cause of this crash was not his speed, throttle control, or braking mid turn. Cold tires could have played a slight factor, but poor weight distribution is the more likely the culprit. Look how vertical his body is compared to the bike at 0:32. He should have leaned off the bike more and kept the bike as vertical as possible. This greatly increases the size of the contact patch and keeps your center of gravity directly below you, not out to the side as demonstrated in the above video.

Its good that you weren't seriously hurt!. I had similar low side last year. Good stuff u got up and pick up your bike! I suggest you invest in a good pair of crash slider. I'd rather destroy a $90AU crash slider than $500AU dollar fairing.

I had the same kind of crash, though it was on the left side about 2 years ago in October with my first bike, a 1994 Suzuki GSXF. Left tire lost traction in a curve and I took a fall. Nothing to serious, scratched helmet visor, scratched leather coat, hole in gloves and in textile pants. Bike was in bad shape though. Had to scrap it.
