For "just an average guy" you sound pretty Damn'ed good! Loved your choice of song, and was REALLY impressed with your XK-3. I've just ordered one myself, (should be here in about a week or so) and am going to run it through my vintage 147 tone cabinet! Should sound pretty cool dont' ya think? Keep playing man, enjoyed listening to you. Roy.
I enjoyed this video very much. You also choosed a beautiful
song. And the leslie speaker you have there is great. I am getting a leslie soon so I wont have to use the electric one in my organ. Isnt it nice to watch those rotors spin and spin...Ah.
I have a rendition of Whiter Shade of Pale up now. Nice to hear what flows out of the fingers of different muscians no matter what level they are at. Good job!
Agreed. Most of the later clones sound pretty decent. I have the Voce V5 module and also B4 for my computer. I love the sound of either unit. BUT! (huge BUTT here). I will say what makes or breaks a 'clone' is the Leslie. I found out that you MUST use the real thing. Forget the new knock offs. Too expensive and they break down often (you KNOW what brand I am referring to here). Get the REAL Leslie. You will thank yourself down the road.
Hi diklah, Enjoyed your rendition of "Whiter Shade of Pale". I have a B3/w Leslie and PR-40 Tone Cabinet. Just getting back into playing after 40 years. I love to hear people at all levels of playing and the different styles. Hope to get a camera soon. Keep on playing!!
Hmm, my comment didn't go thru, so I'll try again. I liked the video. I especially like how you opened the back panels for us to watch the rotors spin. That looks like a 122XB leslie. Did you pain the deflectors on the horn white?
pleasure to watch this! thk fr posting

I'm surprised on how good those XK3's sound. Its good that you have a real leslie also, and not the digital imitation.

what brand are you referring to? I am new to organs, my left arm won't let me play guitar any more...

Yes, I also modified the control board to slow the ramp-down of the bottom rotor to 12 seconds. Thanks

I enjoyed that clip. I liked watching the rotors spin up and down too. That looks like a Leslie 122XB. Did you pain the deflectors on the horn white?

Yes, I removed the horn, stuck the deflectors through a slit newspaper and spray painted. Thanks
