  • 3 people just don't want to live it up . . .

  • Mean bro.. you should bring your quartet to Christchurch, New Zealand next year at our national convention.. or at least yourself and jam some tags :)

  • awesome, do you have a facebook page?

  • best multitrack tag on youtube, hands down great work!

  • I hear a screaming F overtone.

  • Yeah, the last chord really opens up.

  • This is such a crazy tag! I love all the overtones and awesom hangers!

  • NICE!

  • LOve the way you said " Happy Birthday... Ben Golding?"

  • In my opinion it would have been totally cool in the intro of this tag (up to about 4 seconds) to add some really heavy marcatos on the "Let's", instead of having it almost be sounding more on the legato side.

Great job nevertheless! keep it up

  • Sheesh..... had to play that a few times.... I don't know a Bb from a G... but I know what I like.... outstanding

  • this has been bugging me for ages. what is the bari note on the third-to last chord?

is it doubling the tenor an octave down?

  • Yes.

  • I thought it was teriffic!

  • This is great! I wonder if Vocal Spectrum is looking for a replacement Tenor ... j/k!

Well, my point being: someday Tim Waurick's time with us mortals will be up and Zeus will make him come home to Mount Olympus with all the other GODS.

And then Simon can be Vocal Spectrum's tenor. ;)

  • Haha Tim is only two years older than me, and juydging by our current vocal techniques, he'll be singing waay longer than me =)

  • Vocal Spectrum sang "Go the Distance" from the Disney movie "Hercules", and in that movie, Zeus takes Hercules back to Olympus while he's young, so maybe you still have a chance, Simon! Zeus could come for Tim at any moment!

  • Why would you want me to sing tenor anyway? =)

    I'm a lead or baritone...

  • hahahahaha

  • "not very good at it yet,..." lol

  • Hot damn! The perfect way to end a jazz song!

  • Nice job, Simon!! Wow! Don't you hate it when you put your heart into something for people to enjoy and someone has to rain on the parade by pointing out one thing they didn't like? I hate that. Makes me want to stop doing it. Anyways, nothing bad to say here. You are our multitracking hero/originator. Thanks for all you do!!

  • Thank you Vance, it means a lot.

Those mean comments used to make me really pissed, especially the ones questioning whether it was really me singing. However, I think it's important to just try and ignore em and accept the fact "Once you have a fan club, you'll also have people being openly jealous". I've lived by this motto, and I've also realized that people WILL start taking you for granted. As long as my view count is still ticking, I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing, haha =)

  • If I could "Thumbs up" this I would. :D

  • @terfone16

well now apparently you can =D

  • Slight correction, Vance: Simon is NOT the originator. Brandon aka "bhsnerd" is. Simon's first was a Video Response to Brandon's first, "Cruella de Ville," entitled "Another Cruella Tag" or some such.

    Hero, yes. :-)

  • just to be a complete multitrack nerd =P brandon did the tag for Tonight Tonight before Cruella de Ville. it was also the first multitrack i ever saw on youtube

  • Holy crap. I can definitely hear a high F overtone. AND the Bb above that also!!

Great tag, Simon. Keep them coming.

  • I totally heard that too! Great job!

  • great tag

  • Great Tag... wish it had more Tenor.

  • Great!, but I think it would be even better if the beginning was a bit slower, and then the final chord wouldn't be that long...

  • I've told this to Sonny before, but this is another example that is so good that you go from smiling at the beginning to laughing halfway through till the end! Why is it when you listen to unbelievable music you (or and least I) can't help but start laughing? Regardless, this tag was done with exceptional clarity and precision. Good dancing too.

    Happy Thanksgiving Simon =)

  • fucking sick!

  • FineyLeee... I love the dancing!!! Love the tag!! You did a great job. I do have to agree with Aaron Dale, David Wright, Brandon Guyton and the rest of Vocal Spectrum (not to name drop haha) when I say I like the Augmented 9th chord that we sing a lot better - but you're the expert.. after all, you're FineyLeee from YouTube!!! haha. Seriously, great job Simon - you're really doing great work, my friend. I'm always looking forward to hearing more from the man! :)

  • So, Tim, when're ya gonna do your own MultiTracks of your One-Man Sweet Adeline Quartet? ;-)

Smile Medley Tag!! We wanna SEE you do it!!

  • amazing!

  • OUT STANDING!

  • It's alright...i guess.... I mean...It's pretty frickin awesome... :)

  • Good god...

  • uh yeah . . . . what he said!!

  • sweet tag!!! :-D

  • Very nice, very clean, though it seemed a touch fast to me... not a huge deal though.

    I love your tags.

  • JEEZ dude this just awesome.

  • Dayum, nice clean song. But don't move around so much-I'm dizzy.

  • What is it with people whining as soon as I do anything differently?!?! I actually thought that me dancing a bit, especially singing baritone, was pretty charming =)

  • Dude that was the first thing I thought when I saw the video. I think it's cool you do that little dance! It gives the whole song that extra VS feeling. Because you can always see those guys dancing :) Of course as always you have a perfect pitch. But I have to agree with Joncook.. it felt like you were in a kind of a hurry. Great tag and an excellent performance man... next time, please do a back flip or something, see if they've got anything to say about that! :)

  • the only "wrong" thing is at 0:09 the chord is originally a Bb7#9 and you did a Bbmin7 instead...

Away from that and the melodynething , it was great as always...

  • still an awesome chord =P

  • Haha good point Jean!

  • I deliberately changed that chord coz I genuinely don't like it.

And what do you mean by melodynething?

  • I prefer your changed chord, myself. Thanks.

    Alex.

  • It's still great with that chord...it's just my ears were ready to hear that Jazzy chord lol. For the melodyne thing I just mean that I'm not a fan of pitched sound...that's all =)

  • This is brilliant! Thanks Simon!

And Thanks Alex! This is an AWESOME birthday present :D

    Best regards,

    Ben Golding

  • haha happy birthday pianoman!

  • You've been posting some great videos lately. Thanks for sharing your talents on YouTube. I'm REALLY enjoying Ben's birthday... ;-)

And that's my "2 cents," for whatever it's worth.

  • cool

  • good advice :)

  • sounds very good, especially the end :D
