Demon is one of my favorite White Wolf titles. The range it gives in a role playing environment was amazing. Yet you also had to work in the bounds of the body you were in. If someone was to make a movie of it I would like to see it turn out well unlike the horrid Vampire TV show...

We are working on it. The problem is that White Wolf tend not to like others using their material for such projects, so we have had to 'alter' a few minor things so that it's a usable concept. We will be releasing this in 2010, so stay tuned.

As for your comment/question regarding a third group, yes, there are a grouo of Hunters who kill and disguise the things in the darkness such as Vampires, Werewolves etc, often with items that carry or channel 'True Faith'. These elements are drawn from the WW system ' Hunter: The Reckoning '.
And please remember, that not only is this trailer going against the grain of the game itself, but it's also a work of fiction, just like White Wolf's Roleplaying System.

I get the point, and as an atheist, i place all of my faith in provable science, rather than an unproven book of stories and blind faith. But my faith (or lack thereof) isn't the reason why i choose to start making films like this. I do it because i find religion interesting, the Bible has some of the greatest stories ever told. But that's all they are...stories!

The progress on this project is slow! We have hit a few issues with the script, but we are working on it, and we are trying to get permission to use some locations.
As for the game itself, it's fairly good, but i'm more of a Werewolf: The Apocolypse fan myself!

Agreed, but this has been done for a reason. We will not betray the system or it's account of the systems history. This is the first of four from four different characters set within the story. All will become clear as the other teasers are released (the next to be just after the New Year). Sorry if this has caused you any offence.

I just really appreciate the complexity of the backstory and was disappointed to see it reduced to a quasi-stereotypical narrative (But again, I understand it's a trailer and reductions need to be made). Besides that, the SFX in the end looked really good. Do you have a website where one can track the progress of this project?
Looking at the trailer again, there are a number of other statements that sort of bother me. But maybe this particular demon character who does the narration in the trailer doesn't know any better?
As for a website concerning this, there are plans, but real life tends to get in the way! :( As for the system, if we adhered strictly to the system, using factions and houses rigidly, then the film would be inundated with technicalities. We have had to find a way of using the system to it's best effect whilst making it understandable and watchable to the general public, not just roleplayers.
A happy medium is hard to find with this, but then that's the case with all of White Wolf material. As for Balthalazar in the teaser posted here, all is not what it seems with him. I guess you'll have to watch the finished product in the fall of next year to understand.

they made the technocracy evil, like science is dogmatic like religion. So dumb! if someone saw a vampire it becomes science! science is the study of the natural world, and if i saw a vamp its part of the natural world, skepticism! Atheists are NOT evil as they are according to W.W. in fact many just get angry when religion is used to F people over, like holding back scientific advancement, or violating human rights, or starting stupid wars! Dawkins is one of the most moral people ive ever met!
Not even talking about factions and such. I like White Wolf's take on the fall and the subsequent war, so I'm worried that it might not be translated properly. Statements like "to stop God" obfuscate the true intentions of Lucifer's party. The trailer seems to play more into a "traditional" narrative of angels defying God without the sympathetic spin White Wolf has put on it. However, I'm sure your final project will be more true to the spirit of the system than a two minute trailer.

We are working on it. The problem is that White Wolf tend not to like others using their material for such projects, so we have had to 'alter' a few minor things so that it's a usable concept. We will be releasing this in 2010, so stay tuned.
