  • I'm just going to say. I went to the toilet after watching this (irrelevant) and when I went to wash my hands I looked up at the mirror, and saw that I had a subconscious smile on my face. You've made me into a much more positive person. Thanks

  • Spot on man!

  • wonder if u have heard of Holosync ? It's a system of instant meditation that balances left and right hemispheres. If u google it you will find a website, centrepoint, i think, and they send you a free demo cd with the whole rave. It cured my depression and it allows you to think with yr whole brain, not swap from left to right....it's freaky but great !

  • I have my shard as well. :)

  • wow yesterday when i started watching these vids i was just learning about microtubules in my bio class...the first class i have that day

  • check this little test to see if youre right or left brained or both.... lightspeed-learning[dotcom]/testyourself/testyourself[dot]htm

  • Just blew my mind like 4 times throughout reading that article. I think I'm interested in quantum physics now... crap.

  • Hey dude, I was thinking this would be a lot easier to understand if there were images as well showing how they work, so if anyone you know is good at graphics (or anyone reading this) it would be awesome to see someones visual interpretation of it : )

  • or creatively scientific :)

  • Hey Reece whenever you've got the time you should join us over on zoklet.net

So glad more and more are becoming aware, well, I suppose it's inevitable isn't it?

  • was this choppy at parts for other people? great video by the way reece. you are the only youtuber who can keep me interested for 9 minutes at a time. even longer!

  • Lets start Story Time With Reece!!! Cool video man. This is very interesting stuff.

  • Certain scientists say when a person dies, the person's consciousness doesn't disappear, but it stays together throiugh a process called quantum coherence.

This is explained at timing 3:10 in my video "Near death experience - to heaven and back Pt 5 "

  • @Rockguitarnow

Yes, exactly :) Stuart touches on this towards the end of the article.

  • how indefinitely interesting

  • its like all our cells are miniature people in a society. The only difference is that our cells are coherent....most of the time:-P

  • Whenever I think of Wave function collapse, I'm reminded of a scene from a book by Stephen Baxter called Manifold:Space wherein a unique plant made of moon rock which grows in vacuum is living it's generational life backwards with each flowering dying off forward in time towards a single flower which would be destroyed. All it's memories ran backwards as it's destiny folded in towards the end.

We could be doing the same, but we perceive time flowing the wrong direction, collapsing into order.

  • @SpacedTime

dayam , i read that book too , and that story is always in the back of my mind when i think of how we see time , and how un-observably different aliens would probably be etc... I cant believe you read! who does that anymore?

  • @seveneverything lol reading is the only way to really learn about something I think. Because the write can cover so many thing simulateously, and you read it for hours-days-weeks and stay focused on the subject. Longer than any conversation or lecture or movie.

Have you read any other Baxter books? Manifold Time was great too. The end with the space wipe and the ultimate vacuum was insane but kinda logical in such a way that you agree with it.

  • You were right, I DID have to rewatch bits to fully grasp it... because I'm bad with the British accent.

  • From Cognition, 5th edition by Margaret W. Matlin: "One intriguing finding focuses on normal adults who have recieved anesthesia uring surgery. These people often show no evidence of memory for information transmitted during anesthesia (for example, a conversation between the surgeon and another individual) when memory is assessed with explicit memory tests. However, in the most of the research studies, these people do remember a substantial amount of information when implicit memory is assesse

  • But what about the higgs particle? There are still a lot of questions around this particular particle but on paper it is referred to as "the God particle". As we already know, an electric field is generated by an electric charge. Take away the source and you reduce the field to 0. But the Higgs field still has a value in this respect; a physical reality at every point in space even without a source to generate it. Every other particle communicates with the Higgs giving particles mass.

  • Ok, remember to study Wittgenstein - I appreciate these vids- thanx Partially, consciousness can be explained / described mechanistically. But that is clearly a limited approach. Physics will always be limited, since it is based on math. To say that the tubules have what we generally mean by consciousness, is nonsense... but of course they do, in the sense that "they" are us/

  • Story time with Reece xD hey if your interested i would love to see a video on social issues such as those discussed in the Zeitgeist movement. Aka, the concept of a monetary free economy, and by doing so eliminating most of the corruption we see today. Thoughts anyone?

  • funny you should say this haha, I just took a brain test quiz a few days ago! Turns out I'm even got 16/16 right/left. So I guess I'm balanced :)!

  • All i can say is Dam.

  • so, my academic background is in human biology and public health...i was pre-med for a while so this all made perfect sense. oh, and there is some complling evidence that long duration under certain types of general anesthesia can actually cause (or trigger a quick onset) Alzheimer's. I saw this happen with my mother after a very long knee operation surgery where she took about a week of being somewhere in between a dreamstate and waking. related to anesthesia's effect on microtubules?

  • @ddshears

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that. Someone else mentioned something similar earlier on. It definitely seems as if there's a link to be explored here.

  • Amazing video Reece! I'm looking forward to watch part three. Thanks for sharing this with us : )

  • Nice video.:))

    I really liked it.^-^

  • @itschristinelove

    It liked you too :)

  • @ReeceJones87

    Aw!^^ That's nice, thanks.

  • Very good Reece. Excellent video!

But believe me, the findings will go even deeper than this in future discoveries. Everything that is considered microcosmic to the macrocosmic is all part of true intelligent design. There are no finite boundaries to the understanding of consciousness, only understood levels from what we can observe, but it will always be deeper than that. To understand consciousness purely is to understand infinity. :)

  • @101408blogspot

I couldn't agree more. The rabbit hole never ends :)

  • indeed. :)

  • Right on dude. You have it right on the money. Part of the reason for the human race's ET contact is for 'them' to have the opportunity to 'awaken' a part of our DNA which will ultimately play a part in 'fusing' the two halves of our brain together. For the ET Experiencers, such as you and I, that has already begun. This part of my 'knowledge' has only just been 'given' to me (or has just woken-up inside me) and is too late for my book, but I intend to include it in all presentations. Luv Dad x

  • fascinating stuff man! You should get hold of this:

    Consciousness-Beyond-Life by Pim-Van-Lommel (isbn=9780061777257)

(About near death experiences from a scientific point of view)

He got me started on this subject of consciousness, which ultimately led me to your very entertaining posts. Keep up the good work, I'm a big fan.

  • @TheKeyoT

Thanks for the encouraging words :) I'll put that on my "to read" list.

  • I always said cells were conscious, my mates didn't. I win :)

We are the cells of Earth.

  • @dairniel

Haha, well, there's still no clear cut winner here. This is all still just theory. But hey, admittedly, us being the cells of the Earth definitely does resonate with me :)

  • @ReeceJones87

Ha, yes I was jumping to conclusions a little, but what you said just confirmed to me that little bit more that the thought path that I'm on is the right one. Looking forward to next video.

  • wow looking forward to part 3 etc! keep it up man

  • really interesting

  • sounds to me like your loosing your accent :)

  • @JustinDeLarm

    Really?! I haven't noticed :)

  • Awesome.. Thanks Reece :-)

  • you can upload videos of up to 15 minutes now ;)

  • @1schwererziehbar1

Haha, yeah, I know, but for some reason iMovie won't let me. Maybe I need to install new patches for it or something? Either way, I still think 10 minutes is the perfect length for a video :)

  • great stuff ,i need to listen to this video again :.)

  • @matywaldy Mhmm. Gives you a 'contrillity' of ideas to ponder on doesn't it?

I sort of like the word. Don't have a clue what it means, but I think I might like to use it now and again. ;)

  • @deleahmarie

Haha, that cracked me up! Matt, you're a legend :)

  • @matywaldy

Yes, it's a lot to take in :)

  • Thanks for sharing, these videos are great. Seriously =]

  • @LucidSpore

Glad you think so man :)

  • You need to get a buzzcut.

  • @exdeeer

Funnily enough I had one for years when I was younger. I've always been a man of extremes, haha :)

  • hm, intriguing. I was doing some research. This might be correct because when a person has Alzheimer's disease something called a Neurofibrillary tangle is caused which destroys micro tubules. Hence, destroying the neuron transport system. But again, since Alzheimer's disease still doesn't have a cure, this is only an hypothesis.

  • @gtxprince

Interesting hypothesis. It would definitely make sense that Alzheimer's disease is linked directly to the health of the microtubules.

  • @ReeceJones87 yeh it does.

  • @jake10169 why do all that, the cure for cancer is hemp oil. natural simple organic cannabis oil.

  • Your videos blow my mind man.It makes me feel like im not crazy with the way i think.

  • @colebiz

Haha, glad I can reaffirm your sanity to you :)

  • its getting interesting.

  • @jokerbookshop

Indeed. And my oh my, this is just the beginning :) Some of the ideas he proposes later on in the article blew my mind.

  • haha 8.49 out pops your right ear! nice vid!

  • @mrfundah

Haha, I wondered if anyone would notice that ;)

  • Cant wait for part 3, and can't wait for the competition.... because spiritual prizes are the best kind of prize

  • @sacredbanana

    Hehe, I agree <3

  • @jake10169

Hmm, interesting question. I'm not sure whether the deformation would still be primarily made up of the original material (microtubules) or if it transforms into something totally independent. I'll have to look into that. And yes, in theory, if a patient was given five times the amount of normal anesthesia it could potentially depolymerize the cancerous structure, but then it's a matter of restructuring it back into its original form. I imagine that that's where the problem arises.

  • and the rabbit hole goes on!

  • @conorJones

Haha, indeed. I've given up hope on ever finding an end ;)

  • @ReeceJones87 OMG MAN this just tells us the hole universe is alive DON'T you get it MATTER IS CONCIOUSNESS!!! WE ARE THE OBESERVERS IN QUATUM PHYSICS.

  • Comment removed

  • @Lanfeust22 Haha i'm joking around i'm tired. Surrender to the universe and see how euphoria and laughter will pop up and happiness will ungoulph your soul. YOU'LL BE happy all day. Just tell the universe you surrender you become ONE with it. :) light and love...don't worry i'm not crazy....yet ;P

  • @Lanfeust22

Hehe...aaaand relax ;) You talk as if I'm trying to refute that point? I haven't actually stated my current point of view one way or the other, but you're talking as if I have. Why is this?

  • @ReeceJones87 It could be that your enthusiasm and excitement over this topic are being misinterpreted as your own views on the subject, which seems somewhat ironic considering what you were saying in the first minute of the video. Anyway I'll definitely tune in tomorrow for the next video.

  • @ReeceJones87 Haha I see my other comments afterwards saying i was sorry didn't get through lol ;) don't worry I was just in an excited mood. :) No offence brother. Light and Love. I'm sure everyone knows enough for himself to understand this life.

  • @Lanfeust22

Hehe, no offense taken man. And I can understand your excited mood. There's a lot to be excited about :D Much love <3

  • Can't wait for part 3!

  • Thank you Reece! I will be eagerly awaiting tomorrows continuation of "Story time with Reece" :) Thank you for sharing this!

  • i believe the patient is given anaesthetics, not anaesthesia. is the latter not the actual process?

  • @rabbitspliff

Yes, you're right :) I noticed that error after I posted it.

  • @ReeceJones87 cool cool. also, i added you on steam (McStalin, don't ask where i got that nickname from, it's old.). i just saw yours on your profile and thought for the hell of it i'd add you, just in case your videos inspire me to give you brief feedback etc.

  • @rabbitspliff

Thanks for the add :) And any feedback is truly appreciated.

  • hopefully by nowyou have done some Nassim Haramein research! love you bro! keep it up! BTW i sent you a message weeks ago.. did you see my video about dreaming?

  • @MahaNomi

I have. I'm absolutely loving his stuff. And I love you too man :) Is this video you refer to on your main channel? If so, I'll go check it out in a bit.

  • @ReeceJones87 you can find under the SBVegan playlist... but yeah its from my old channel TheSBVegan.. thanks for connecting : )

  • @MahaNomi

Just watched it man. You cracked me up with that "I'm dreaming!" bit. Informative and laid back vid. Good stuff :)

  • Tomorrow!? Aw..... but tomorrow is so far away.... : P

  • @theprodigy2186

Nice to see you commenting man. I stumbled across your videos a while back. You're absolutely fantastic!

  • @ReeceJones87 Thanks! That means alot coming from you! I guess you know then that this subject is my cup of tea, can't wait for part 3. Thanks for sharing!

  • Read some real science books Reece...

  • @sk8bamsk8

Haha ;) Well, Stuart's an MD, a professor Emeritus of Anesthesiology and Psychology at the University of Arizona, and is considered one of the leading experts on consciousness studies, so I think that what he has to say is extremely credible.

  • @ReeceJones87 Not necessarily, don't just take things for face value, lol

  • @sk8bamsk8

Haha, you're a tease ;) But no, I'm not. I'm doing some pretty intensive research at the moment. My quest did not end with this article.

  • @sk8bamsk8 you know that's actually a good point. what is a real science book? i mean, i've bought science books published by universities before, only to have a physics teacher who formally worked for CERN tell me that it wasn't credible because it wasn't peer reviewed. so where the hell do you get peer reviewed papers from? are they even in the public domain?

  • @rabbitspliff You can get them from credible science journals.

  • First!!!
