Michael is an accomplished martial artist himself and surely knowledgeable as well as being abled to demostrate what he is talking about. What he say about telegraphing punches make pretty good sense, he threw a punch that was so fast but Kimbo could not see it coming. In a real fight that hand could easily been the opponent's face. Maybe that why George St. Pierre had so many shot aganist Kosh in their fight in UFC 125 I think. What can I say, I am a fan of both of these guys.

The only problem with this is what if they are looking at your hands? Kimbo himself said "my eyes are on you I am not even looking at the hand you have loaded up", how are you doing to defend a punch but you aren't even looking at the guys hands? If you don't want to get punched you look at the hand, it doesn't matter if he is telegraphing it or not, if you see an object coming towards your face you get out of the way. I would say it's not just some boxers punching technique but their defense.

You look at the eyes because the eyes can betray the persons plan, the eyes usually look at what the person wants to hit and from that you can react appropriately. Nothing is wrong with what Jai White is saying about Chucks technique.

All in the first round, you would think his technique would help him last more than a round. In MMA you would look at the hips probably because no matter if your opponent is kicking or punching you would see it in the hips first. Machida did an untelegraphed punch too and got knocked out by Shoguns "telegraphed" punch.

Level Rene Martinez is better then Kimbo in my opinion and has a better chance to become on the rise in UFC. far as Michael Jae White, i really think he would hold his own and give it to alot of guys in UFC.

Michael is an accomplished martial artist himself and surely knowledgeable as well as being abled to demostrate what he is talking about. What he say about telegraphing punches make pretty good sense, he threw a punch that was so fast but Kimbo could not see it coming. In a real fight that hand could easily been the opponent's face. Maybe that why George St. Pierre had so many shot aganist Kosh in their fight in UFC 125 I think. What can I say, I am a fan of both of these guys.

The only problem with this is what if they are looking at your hands? Kimbo himself said "my eyes are on you I am not even looking at the hand you have loaded up", how are you doing to defend a punch but you aren't even looking at the guys hands? If you don't want to get punched you look at the hand, it doesn't matter if he is telegraphing it or not, if you see an object coming towards your face you get out of the way. I would say it's not just some boxers punching technique but their defense.

You look at the eyes because the eyes can betray the persons plan, the eyes usually look at what the person wants to hit and from that you can react appropriately. Nothing is wrong with what Jai White is saying about Chucks technique.

@phimuka He was talking about boxing. He didn't mention anything about kicking. If Chuck's technique is so great why has he been knocked out in his last 3 fights? All in the first round, you would think his technique would help him last more than a round. In MMA you would look at the hips probably because no matter if your opponent is kicking or punching you would see it in the hips first. Machida did an untelegraphed punch too and got knocked out by Shoguns "telegraphed" punch.

Say what you want about Kimbo Slice but the man honestly loves learning. This is what seperates him from alot of other fighters he is willing to learn something new every day. He may not be really skilled on ground game but his stand up is one of the best. How ever his trainers are idiots if they think he'll be ready for a title fight after 6 months of boxing

@YourEpic any REAL martial artist knows that martial arts isnt about learning how to fight.....its about learning how NOT to fight but to defend yourself as a last resort. most REAL martial artists are very kind and humble because they already know they could kill you at will and you can do nothing about it so why even bother and that is to be respected because they dont abuse their power

@blackjesus411 I think you're a little misguided. Martial Artists don't "know that they could kill you at will." Martial Artists should not assume such a thing. Instead they think "I don't know what this person is capable of. He may maim or kill me. It's best I avoid a confrontation if possible." With their knowledge of how to hurt comes the knowledge, and respect, of how an opponent can hurt them in return. Ignorance of the harm that can be dealt makes people arrogant and eager to fight.
