Great video!!! I am a bit surprised by your last comment though re: shoes do not allow for toe extension and flexion. Defect free shoes should break at the metatarsals so the windlass mechanism will definitely occur but vary depending on the stiffness of the forefoot as well as the nature of the break pattern. Otherwise phenomenal video!!!
My feet have never felt better until I started to move out of wearing shoes(especially stupid shoes with a narrow toe box, heel elevated over the forefoot, & a post on the medial side to prevent "over pronation"). Our feet are our week links because we stuff them into crappy shoes, & that orthotics should only be necessary for a small minority of people that have major foot deformities that can't compensate. I have solved my PF and achilles pain by NOT wearing the orthotics for my "FF Varus".

What nonsense! The windlass mechanism works fine in shoes. You obviously have not seen the research that shows that. this was a good video right up until the end.
@craigbpayne10 I notice you didn't provide even a hint of explanation for how the windlass mechanism can work when the foot is immobilized inside a shoe. You are right about one thing: I've "obviously not seen the research that shows that." Please provide references to the research (published by you, no doubt).
