  • No Idea why LTW didn't get a better look.

  • hell yes

  • Yes to what?

  • we going to be good this year ex with cody green

  • r defense looks like its gona be a lot better, guess we find in 3 weeks

  • I am not sure.

Probably. We got Thenarse, West, Blue, Suh, and another important guy I can't think of.

  • i was there ! GO BIG RED

  • So was I, It was great! Im so happy its finally football season again!! GOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIG RRRRREEEEEEeeeeeedddd!!!!

  • Big 12 Champs!!!

  • I hope so. GBR!!

  • is zac lee senior

  • I am not sure, I don't think so. I think he's a Jr. still. I forgot.

  • GO HUSKERS!!!!!!!!

    We're comin back!!!!!

  • This is going to be so exciting.

  • GO HUSKERS!

  • Yes, Go Huskers!

P.S. - Thank you for commenting.

  • just got this link from the missouri board on espn . com, and after reading the comments below i am very appreciative of the respect given to my Tigers, you all will be tough, VERY tough actually, but i think my Tigers will get ya since its in columbia, plus i being a Missouri fan i have a hard time saying we'll lose, but it will be a great game this year, oh and Kansas will not be a problem for the huskers, their D will be worse than Missouri's was last year

  • Thank you.

I appreciate you being a good sport, and a polite fan.

This one is in Missouri, so I think Missouri is going to have a good chance of winning.

I am a husker fan of course, so I really hope Nebraska wins.

  • no problem, how does NU's QB position look this year, i havent been able to check out much on them this year, is the position still a toss up or is it basically decided? oh and i saw that Blain Gabbert's little brother is looking at Nebraska pretty hard, i watched his game tapes and he plays like Bret Favre, now if he'll fit into the NU system in a couple years thats another story

  • Well, it's kind of scary, because none of these guys have played a single Big 12 opponent.

I am a little nervous that Lee will be an issue against our big opponents like OU, Missouri, and VT.

I didn't know Blain Gabbert has a little brother.

He would still be at NU if he had Callahan, but it isn't a big deal.

We got a quarterback who lives in the city next to me (California).

He goes to the High School that hates mine.

    He is now our QB!

  • nu's qb is going to be freshman cody green

  • nah, i'm betting lee.

  • cody will be sooner or later.

  • did you watch college football live fifty state tour they announced lee would be the QB GO BIG RED!!!!!

  • lee's a Junior, and Green won't even see playing time this year. You really think that the coaches want to waste a redshirt year on him when they have one really good QB in Lee and a decent backup in Spano? Green is 2 years away from competing for the starting job.

  • don't forget about washington. dude is a good.

  • I didn't...

    "a converted LB"

Personally, I hope he redshirts so he can actually learn the system. He's definitely got a rocket for an arm though! I'm pretty sure he played QB in HS, but it's been a while.

  • Tyler already committed to DoNU, basically because of all the time he spent with the husker coaches when his brother was planning on going there. Zac Lee is no doubt our starter, and now that Kody Spano is back and healthy, he's a very good backup. After that it gets dicey with a true freshman, a converted LB, and another true freshman, Taylor Martinez, who just arrived on campus...

  • I forgot about Spano. I am psyched for Taylor Martinez.

  • Here's a quote from Watson about Spano.

"I'll tell you who is a really cool customer in the pocket is Kody Spano. He really pushes the pocket and keeps his vision down field and feels the rush, and he spits the ball out where it's supposed to go."

Thought he had some wheels too :)

  • That's just a polite comment from practice.

He isn't going to say something mean about Spano, and you know that.

Still something good to know though for Spano. =)

  • haha, yeah. He said it about Spano when he declared him healthy and practicing full bore for 2 weeks (3 weeks now, I think). Spano really is no slouch though. Scout team MVP honors, I just wish we got to check him out in the spring game.

  • Washington is legit.

  • What?

  • My homie, Latravis.

  • You know him from High School?

  • Saw him once at a Dairy Queen.

  • So he's your homie from meeting at and ice cream shop?

    lol, cool!

  • Hard to tell in these spring games, a lot of the positions are only playing at about 50% aka the OLine. Things look overall pretty good. Running game looked a little weak, QBs look a little green. Overall intensity of the team looked good. Nebraska certainly is going to be vying for the Big 12 north.

  • Yes, but we've got Kansas and Missouri to worry about big time.

We've got them both in each of their stadiums, and they're both suppose to be good.

  • ya Washington will be our QB but from the looks of our D no one will be able to score so its kinda hard to beat us if u cant score lol

i cant wait till Oklahoma comes to Lincoln thats going to be the game that puts nebraska in the top 10 where they belong.

    GO BIG RED!!

  • Yes. We belong in the top.

Bo is going to find a way to get us to the Big 12 Championship.

I have high hopes for this season. I am so pumped, I know Nebraska will be representing the Big 12 North this year, I just know it!

  • YEAH!!! But I'd like to see them go bigger....National Champions! maybe in a couple more years that could happen....its only the 2nd year in the re-build!

  • Yes, I think Bo Pelini is going to see our issues, fix up our players, and bring in great recruits, coach them, and win a National Title!

  • ok. first, Washington is going to plat a serious role in our offense. although lee is a much more polished QB, just having an athlete of that size, strength, speed, and ability on the roster ,and able to take snaps, is a threat. and while i am helu's biggest fan, it will be Castille who emerges as the true threat; the dude is for real. second, the D is back. we may not have as many athletes that we had in the glory days, but we've got enough. and with Bo at the helm, theyll be ready.

  • Thanks for helping me out on that.

Castille was arrested did you know that? He might not play offense for us for some time.

I agree with your whole comment...

  • That sucks what did Q get arrested for? He better play I have high hopes for him. I'm not sold on Helu like everyone else seems to be, plus he put on weight so that will slow him down no matter what he says.

I'm willing to bet Nebraska will win the north this year.

  • I know.

Helu is very fast, and no matter how much weight he gains beyond 5lbs he will be faster than Castille.

    He's more essential than Castille.

I am guessing Nebraska will have trouble topping Missouri again this year.

    It will be exciting.

  • I don't really see Missouri being a problem now that Chase Daniels, Michael Crabtree, and Chase Coffman are gone. Kansas will probably be more of a problem than Mizzou.

You have a point about Helu, I just hope we have both of them for the season.

  • I meant Jeremy Macklin, not Crabtree lol.

  • lol. Michael Crabtree played for Texas Tech.

Missouri will still be a problem, and I am am worried about Kansas.

  • latravis washington is gonna be a key factor for our offense....GO BIG RED

  • I am not sure.

Zac Lee played better in this game.

I think the keys to our offense will be Helu and Lee importantly.

  • i could see latravis moved to the slot occasionally for a quick screen or what have you

  • Sorry, I don't quite follow you there.

  • washington has good speed and could be used in a variety of way's but he's not going to be a good qb for us. the best thing to do with him is to use him in the slot of a quick hit screen which can then be launched down the field(ie how the steelers used to use randle el and hinez ward for).

  • Well you can't tell that when he has Nebraska's amateur offense playing with him.

There is no way of knowing if guys are good or bad after watching the spring game for heaven sake!

Latravis had a young an inexperienced offensive line protecting him and some freshman Nebraska boys fresh from the cornfield receiving passes.

  • well since most of our best recievers have been from the midwest i'd say having us Nebraska boys to throw to would be a blessing, they may not wow you with there speed but they have golden hands and know how to play the game. And i do believe that he had Antonio Bell to throw to for most of his snaps

  • Nope.

    I agree.

  • NIGGA JOSH WILLIAMS IS RAW PUSSY

  • Please, no racial terminology. It's rude. Thank you.

  • 17 DE COLD THAN HOE MAN

  • I am sorry, please rephrase your comment. I cannot compute your quote. Thanks.

  • i love the way pelini coaches, similar to bob stoops, thats what the team needed, callahan was so passive let his assistants do all the dirty work. Pelini is a great fit, especially when it came to defense, he lit a fire under there ass, no standing around like 07. i hope we revert back a lil more to less shotgun and more power running tho, we have a two headed monster in waiting right now if the line gets right especially w lee's mobility power option all the way. unless our wrs step up

  • Pelini is a smart coach on defense.

Callahan got lazy in 2007. That year in 2007 was my favorite, and my worst. I loved it, and I hated it. Weird....

Lee's going to be a big shot, but he didn't play white you see, different protection and receivers. I am sure LaTravis Washington would've done just as well with a mediocre defense.

  • yeah i know callahan did give up. yea i would be diff coach than polini too. yea i understand wat u r saying.

  • they look good. hopefully we can improve from 9 and 4 last year.

  • I know. Nebraska is likely to represent the North in the Big 12 Championship this year.

  • i hope cody green will be the starting quarterback i went to highschool with him in dayton texas

  • Cool! Cody Green was a good pick!

  • F*#K that awful peace of S*%t they called a tunnel walk in 2007! That was pathetic, There was nothing in that video or music to pump a crowd up. I was embarassed when they showed it at the first game that year.

  • That was made by a Hip/Hop and Rock artist from Nebraska. I liked it, but Osborne thought it was corny...

  • Yeah dude i am 19 so i feel where you are comming from... I am friends with the guy who made the remix lol And MIky bo didnt make it pisses me off that he takes credit for it... but w/e but yeah dude i feel you

  • Dude no offense NU HUSKER... but Bo is awesome head coach... Deffense wins championships... im sure you have heard that before... As for your offense comment Shawn watson is one of the best in the country and have had one of the most productive offenses in the country since he has gotten to nebraska... Osborn wasnt great with out his dfenses...

  • None taken buddy. lol.

I love (no homo) Bo Pelini.

He's a great coach, I am one of those young kids who is almost a teenager, who doesn't look far enough to tradition, and wants a different Nebraska.

Football is the only sport in Nebraska that doesn't wear black. baseball does, soccer, basketball, track, volleyball, EVEN OUR RIFELING TEAM!

I just want a new Nebraska look. Our 2007 tunnel-walk, which Osborne thought was corny... I liked.

  • Sorry, NUHusker, but what a ridiculous comment. Nebraska will never change their football uniforms to include black...period! Frankly, what a goofy suggestion on your part.

  • It's ok.

I just have seen the same uniform for 7 years, and I want a new one. We either need a new style or go old uni's.

  • we dont need a new coach. Bo is perfectly fine especially after the season we had last year. so much better than wat callahan did!!!

  • Well. Pelini isn't really an offensive guy. He can be great with defense. I think he's a great head coach, but I want someone like Osborne to coach, and Pelini to defensive cordinate, so he spends a lot of time cordinating our defense.

  • Callahan was amatuarish because he just gave up in 2007. I was very dissapointed. I like Pelini fine, I just have personal suggestions. Bo Pelini is a completely different style coach then I'd be. Bo loses his temper too far sometimes too. Of course I would, but I wouldn't swear on ABC in front of many college football fans watching from a bar and at home.

  • Uh....

    We need the following.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    New Jerseys

    Black on our uniforms

    New Offense

    Expirienced College Coach

    NFL/Heisman QB's

    All-American Defense

And to kick the crap out of teams in our conference and teams like: Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, USC, Florida, etc.

  • we dont need the following.

    ____________________ __________

new jerseys...who cares? they're jerseys... they dont make a team better or worse.

New Offense...why? the one we have works just fine.

Experienced College Coach...you got a problem with Bo, you got a problem with all of husker nation

NFL/Heisman QB's are not a necessity for a good team. Look at all the college QB's that were amazing in college but were worthless NFL qb's

the rest i agree with...good defense and win games....durrr

  • You don't know that, Washington could have looked better than Lee if he practiced with Red offense...

  • damn you guys look good... im startin to get a bit nervous when you play us in Lane

  • Thanks.

What team do you root for?

  • obviously VT if he said Lane Stadium

  • well he could of meant playing a certain style in running LANEs.

  • Virginia Tech... you play us at home this year will be a great game

  • Yeah. Kind of scary to go into Virginia Tech, with great ACC players, a mediocre defense. Well... Not mediocre, but you know what I mean... And 4 inexpirienced Quarterbacks!

  • Comment removed

  • they seem to be throwing pretty accurately ... theyll get a lot better come fall

  • great vid but i definitely would have put collins okafor's td run in there. garbage time, yes, but he really showed potential on that run, and hes only a redshirt freshman. probably already as fast as helu, maybe faster, and he could be real good. a nebraska kid, too!

  • Sorry, this video is from first half...

I know, NU gets good husker kids!

  • what is this song called?

  • This song is called:

    Deep End, by crossfade.

  • man we looked pretty good for the spring game! lee looks like a legit starter and washington looks like a capable back up. i think qb will be better than expected this year. our running backs look very promising, castille looks even better now than against clemson, and we got someone still better. thats a pretty comforting thought. those young backs (okafor, ward, jones) look very good too, okafor with the best pure talent. cant wait to see them in games this year! the defense looks good too!

  • Thanks.

    Lee did good.

Our running game looked bad I thought.

  • i think part of that was the fact that helu wasnt playing. plus the offensive line was split between the starters and the backups. im not worried about it.

  • They have a good team this year, I'm really excited to see.

Washington would be an amazing QB if he could slow down his passes though!

    He would always through bullets

  • Yeah, I'm on the same page as you.

Well, he needs to make quick and hard throughs before the defender can get in the backfield.

  • Lee is taller than Ganz, and in the video he was getting very good passing lanes from the linemen. We shouldn't expect more tipped passes at the line this year from Lee as starter.

  • Yeah. but remember, none of our quarterbacks have expirience playing in The Big 12.

Zac Lee played at San Fransisco Community college although....

  • Lee has a fuckin' cannon. Recieving this year will be amazing. Hoping it'll stay that way, with Peterson, Swift, amongst a few other awesome recievers gone and Ganz The Man.

    Great Vid man

    GBR.

  • I had been hunting for this!! Thanks a million for posting!

  • You're welcome! I always get in videos that people look for. It took me hours to find this!!

  • keep this shit going bro... good song selection for the game. look forward to a new video after Sept 5! GO BIG RED!!!

  • Anybody notice that they added castille to the tunnel walk video? Man that gets me pumped

  • Castille really changes the game!

  • i love the kid. him and helu have the potential to be as good as the chris brown/demarco murray duo. those guys could really blow up this year. our running game should be big this year, but judging from zac lee's accuracy in the spring game our passing game should be right up there too. and our defense is finally going back to the blackshirt way--we could be big time in a year or two.

  • Helu didn't play though.

    They're not that good!

I hope Washington Starts this year...

I don't know about our defense...

  • haha way to be pessimistic! just relax. well be fine. remember that callahan isnt in charge now, pelini is. his team came through a lot of times last year when it didnt look like they would. washington wont start, he isnt as good as lee. castille and helu arent as good yet, but i think they have the potential. both looked very good in spring practice according to the coaches, especially helu. our D is only going to improve every year. the spring game really isnt a good way to judge the team.

  • What song is this?

  • Crossfade - The Deep End.

  • nice job

  • Wow, thanks!

  • Great video

  • Thank you. I appreciatte it.
