The problem is that liberalviewer is indeed being sarcastic but due to the manner in which he talks throughout his videos, it is difficult to catch that sarcasm. One could easily mistake this for a serious question/claim.

Where to start... um.. I feel someone wasted their time making this video (and typing this response, I know). You realize that the show airs on Comedy Central, thus consistency or the lack there of is part of what makes it hilarious. It is not meant to taken as seriously as an actual news program. Really, you understand that the short attention span and spurt of the moment is part of the character that he plays, thus its funny (it is a character of a conservative btw). Explaining a joke is hard.
