@Firecelebi Don't mean to sound harsh or critical of your insight, but it's not very accurate to say that you hear Primal Dialga's theme at 1:18, because that same melodic line is used in several songs throughout the game (ex: Fogbound Lake, Melancholy, Sacrifice, Time Gear remix, Temporal Spire, etc.). It would be like saying that the "Fairy Fountain" theme from LoZ reminds you of Scott Pilgrim instead of LoZ.

Cant believe these games recieved mixed reviews, It was far better than the first PMD, the storyline was epic and emotional, and gameplay may have not differed much, but I enjoyed it in the first game and it works great here too, plus theres more to do in treasure town and things, plus the idea of exploring is better than the idea of rescuing.

I love the Mystery Dungeon games, and find myself constantly going back to them. The first game had that great runaway feeling about it when you were being chased as a traitor - and of course I loved the Legendary Bird Trio and how that was involved. The second game had that odd feel for me, but I loved how you think you did amazing, you beat the game, and you get whirled into a world of darkness and the plot increases and climaxes from there. This was the first game that made me cry.

Honestly, PMD2 probably has the best storyline and plot in any pokemon game, it is truly a work of art what the writers at Nintendo have accomplished with this brilliant game. The mystery dungeons are also much more emotional than any pokemon game. Overall, PMD2 is truly brilliant, and if this is only the second mystery dungeon, what's to expect next?

@Racer5121 I completely agree! The "original" Pokemon series is amazing, but Mystery Dungeon really had this way of drawing me in like no other game ever has. The music was beautiful, the way your character was a Pokemon was fun, and I could actually get truly attached to the storyline. Not to say the other games didn't have good storylines, but the go-become-a-Pokemon-master-and­-beat-up-some-evil-team-that-w­ants-to-take-over-the-world gets a bit old.

I kept going on to monster houses in my Time version and finally reached lvl. 100... and then I lost my time version and was left with a darkness version that I didn't even start yet. Luckily I was able to finish the whole story in less than a week.

The main reason that people want the Pokemon Ranger games more is that unlike Pokemon Mystery Dungeon you can send the equivalent of event pokemon to the main game series. you can't do that with Mystery Dungeon. Still you have not properly played pokemon until you have heard this track on the game.

HOW TO DEFEAT PRIMAL DIALGA Use the wondermail generator to get golden seeds and violent seeds. Make sure you have a long-distance move like flamethrower or razor leaf. You'll also need a stun seed or two. NO REVIVERS NEEDED. Chuck the stun seed at dialga. Go down the bottom of the battle field. Eat the golden seed(s). Eat A violent seed (you only need one). Spawn Dialga with long range attacks. TA DA!

Seriously, Dungeon has everything: awesome music, awesome story, and the ability to make you feel emotions, ranging from sadness to anger as you rage over them wondering what they should do when confronted with a fire rock and a fire rock shaped hole.

@BaDaaandBadaaProduc Well I for one don't really count the brother and sister games as being individual. And explorers of sky was pretty much a rehash of explorers of Darkness/Time. So really there are the two different DS games, and the Wii ones (which aren't so good due to them lacking the story element, among other things). At least that's for me.

And there is another Ranger game in the planning stages.

@milun2 acktually, They're making a new mystery dungeon game, for the Wii. It should be interesting. It's not a disc though, it's from the Wii shop channel. They're called Strom squad, fire squad, and something else squad. There are many differences between the three, such as dungeon names, pokemon available, and such sorts. They are the first ones to have multiple files.
