The main point is that troops do not become "heroic" simply for putting on a uniform and going off to fight in some occupation force for the benefit of giant corporations. At least not by my definition. A hero is someone like Ghandi or MLK who fought for real issues without engaging in violence.
War like any act of violence can only be condoned as an act of last resort. These "wars" are "preemptive wars" by definition which to anyone with a brain means attack not defend.

I saw a video from Petraeus last year explaining why the surge a Afghanistan won't work. A few months later his evil president sent in 30,000 more troops anyway. Let me know if anyone wants the link. He's probably a great man but I would pass out too if i got trapped like that. Having to defend a war strategy from the president that I know will fail and I have already told the world will fail, then the body bags start coming back and McMain wants answers.

I hate these politicians praising each other and praising the military.. ..I bet this was a stunt ..if he is that sick he needs to resign ..people throw the word hero around to the point that it is meaningless..I don't call being a general as being heroic...he is a bureaucrat just like his civilian counter parts..he has a vested interest in keeping the war going..people need to open their eyes and take off the blinders

It was a fake faint... when McCain said timeline he pretended to faint. The had this planned. He heard of the new minerals found in Afghanistan and fainted thinking about how many troops will DIE trying to secure it. The war is funny... caus Americans are dying for oil. Ha ha ha... OIL!
