  • say whatever..these guys did THIS at 15yrs young ?!?..unbelievably talented!!..just freakin awesome.that album Frogstomp was phenomenal!.."tomarrow" is one of the best songs..really haunting..these guys are loded with Talent,i dont know where they went or what thier doing now..but i can tell you where they were and that is was REAL,real deep..as good a pure bluezy rock debut album as any i can think of..since the early days of rock!

  • If you like chair, you will love Halfwait

  • My favorite...

  • Holy shit, I was 18 when this came out and it's even better now!

  • What a fucking FANTASTIC song.

  • This is a great song

  • They were fifteen when they made this... What were you doing when you were fifteen. I was listening to Silverchair. People crack me up, hating people that are talented, what a waste. To insecure to enjoy others talent. This is one of those bands that takes me back, I thank God for the time machine known as music.

  • Those of us who grew up in the 80's and 90's can listen to this for nostalgia. I listen to this and it brings back fond memories of my teen years. But what do kids today have to look back on for nostalgia? Lady Gaga? Justin Beiber? I feel sorry for them. I hope they turn on the music industry of today and only listen to classics, at least then they'll have good music to look back on in their memories.

  • @daFattylover dont worry about me im 16 i listen to the old metal , rock and grunge, and some of the new metal bands like machine head etc.

  • don't you morons think Eddide Vedder, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, and Kurt Cobainn all kind of sound similar? that's because they are part of a genre which means we can classify them. If you're a real fan and listen, you can hear uniqueness. The only singer i wish to never hear again is that butt scrubber Scott Sapp from that unbelievably shitty band.

  • 62 people are hiding in the shade... LONG LIVE THE CHAIR!!

  • Aww they're so little here! XD Bless 'em!

  • IS THAT KURT COBAINS SON OHHHHH WAIT HE HAD A DAUGHTER SO THIS BITCH IS A FUCKING POSER

  • @jbvistvchannels How is he a poser? Because he has long hair and was in grunge music? Gotta love the haters.

  • @jbvistvchannels Kurt Cobain's a poser. He copied Jesus, who had long hair first... Nerd...

  • @jbvistvchannels ur retarded or something

  • WANNA BE NIRVANA AND PEARL JAM NIRVANA - THE HAIR AND THE SONGS PEARL JAM SINGING WELL SOME TIMES

  • 3:07 Extremely emotional part.

  • This song reminds me completely of my boyfriend.

    Everything.

All he wanted was someone to help him.

    I tried.

Now I've lost him to his affliction.

Thank you Silverchair, for having a song for every single one of my emotions.

  • Espectacular tris its a great rock band

  • Im here because of Heath Ledger

  • Great tune! Great music! Very emotional song

  • People who bashed Daughtry - He has more fame and fortune than you will ever have, first of all. Seeing how he didn't win, him being on American Idol is completely irrelevant to gis music career. It was a platform and if you gad an ounce of talent you would use it as well. He write with his band. The music he puts out is true to him, its not written by the record company. Good try. Also, there are multiple genres within genres. Alt, hard, classic - all forms of rock. He is rock. He sells.

  • @SMK715 I have no problem with the singer...I had actually watched that season and he was my favorite. His performance of fuel was brilliant. Unfortunately, the realistic thing about shows like that is it always follows you, throughout your entire career. That's all I meant. It worked out for only a handful of people on that show.

  • They were ONLY 15 Years old when this album Frogstomp "95 was created

  • Love the leadbreak in this, can't believe a 16yr old made that up

  • they used to be a good band , but now they are pop fags

  • I'd have to disagree. Maybe Young Modern took a more pop twist, but Diorama is a masterful album and as a drummer, the drum parts are pretty damn good, lacking in simplicity as with the rest of the compositions. Take a listen.

  • @larussural now they're pussies xD

  • ice ice baby was the best song from the nineties

  • KURT COBAIN SOUL IN THE 3:23 O.o!

  • Epic, Epic song.. I was 9 when this came out but am the youngest of 4 boys so listened to them a lot. Frogstomp is still one of my favorite albums. *sigh* bring back the nineties :)

  • timeless ...

  • i choose the shade...

  • This shit takes me back to my first long bad trip... I must have listened to that playlist 20 times that night.

  • You know, whenever i look at the comment boards in a lot of these vids, you see comments on almost everything: the dislikers, the the year we're listening to this in, the age of the youtuber, the lamentation of modern music, how the youtuber was born in the wrong decade.....basically about everything.....except for the ACTUAL SONG. can't we just appreciate the awesomeness of this song? jesus christ lol

  • I came here to pump myself up.

  • joinha se você é brasileiro

  • these are awesome young people..well they were here. i still play the crap out of their music.i say right on guys!!!!

  • im a 1032 year old foetus and i loved this song

  • He used to be much better when younger nowadays he looks weird

  • 3:20 Kurt Cobain

  • im 40 yr old and frogstromp is the only silverchair record myself and my son will lisnen to ,,top record,,why did the boys change so much ?

  • Silverchair rocks :) they should make a new rock album

  • @ALICEINCHAINSMUSE I wish too but they broke up.

  • @brandiangela1988 I know, but it's only an 'hibernation'... they may play together again. I hope...

  • if u listen to each album u can see their music evolving into straight lines, u have cemetery on freakshow, which got transformed into anas song and then u have most of the stuff on diorama very soft pop rock, so it isnt that hard to guess what they were turning into....and just to sort all those peeps who always look for the wrong stuff in comments, the songs i listed are just small examples, first song i could think of, so dont give me whinging

  • uwielbiam ten kawałek. tyle fajnych rzeczy przypomina..................

  • Rocking out at 3:10 boi!!!!!!!!Dnt make jams like this any more WTF!!!

  • Fair enough from this to straight lines however daniel wanted to do something different he wanted to see what pop was all about and experimented with his music.. id agree straight lines is shit compared to shade.. but still hes fckn awesome still. he wrote SHADE and *straighlines.. Hes older and bored with his old stuff.. and needed change..

  • From this to straight lines, how disappointing.

  • Man, this song reminds me of my childhood, the first time i heard this song.

  • I wish all of you would shut the fuck up and enjoy one of the best bands to grace the air waves.

  • This song is SO fucking beautiful...

  • i like that its asian porn under the video straight lines!

  • 0:50 come as you are

  • Why is "Anal asian girl video sex gratis 18 sex videos" in the suggestions? o.O

  • @MASAI97 lol i thought the same thing

  • @MASAI97 What? You don't associate Silverchair with free anal Asians? :p

  • @RazoSG I associate them with Pay Per View Anal Asians. Not those free skanks

  • @MASAI97 lol it's just so random haha

  • @MASAI97 rnt suggested videos based on things you have liked / favorited / recently watched?

  • @bjang1000 No, they are usually related to the video you just watched

  • @MASAI97 haha

  • @MASAI97 I think the question you should be asking.. "Why isn't anal asian girl video NOT in the suggestions"

  • @chaseroot Tragically, it's gone:/

  • frogstomp fucking owns

  • Silverchair já foi uma banda muuito boa.

  • Amazing<3

  • Hey kids, if you're just lame little shits who want "thumbs" for your comments, you can just say:

"I know this sounds 'crazy,' but I'm only 14 but I hate new music and like older music!"

But it looks like most of you have figured that out already.

  • Comment removed

  • Such a good tune! If you guys dig Silverchair, Nirvana, Foo's etc PLEASE check out and support this NEW band: "Cast In Cadence". Search on youtube, facebook, buy album on Itunes! Lets bring legit music back onto the airwaves!

  • i was just a baby in the 90's i hate my generation

the music of today sucks ,my friends listen to david guetta, lady gaga, justin bieber ,reggaeton and im the only who listen good old music....someone need to build a time machine......

  • @livredesd Same , i was born in 96. Why I could not even born in the 80's? :(

  • @livredesd

  • @wra7h then dont listen to it fuck face

  • @1993grungiekid Why would i not listen to it if i just said i like it you fucking retard.

  • Kurt screams towards end

  • 0:25

  • as i said before not all kids my age are that ignorant nowadays

  • they were an amazinggggg band!!

  • Comment removed

  • I was born in the wrong decade. Music nowadays are horsecrap. :/

  • Don't have kids yet! if you do they will grow up fucking stupid wanting to be jersey shoreans! wait untill good music comes back. They'll be smarter.

  • Guys, be careful what you say, things always look better in retrospect, believe me all decades have there fair share of crap.

  • why does all the favored videos for silverchair start out with the writer stating their age? i'm 27 and think thats fuckin annoying as fuck!

  • @Matty6983: oh haha. thats so true. i noticed that exact thing too. too funny...i totally agree, good call.

  • @chantmayer your smokin!

  • @Matty6983: oh gawd i could be your mother dear. im nearly 40 but thank you kindly!!

  • @chantmayer 40 just makes you that much more smokin, and you'de have been 13 when you gave birth to me mommy. you could be my womans mommy mabe lol. not coming onto ya tho just sayin, your worthy of being told your smokin, especially if your really 40!

  • @Matty6983: oh gawd. thank you?! LOL

  • When I hear music like this, I feel so smug about being an 80s baby.

  • Ual, music is very nice

  • mano -e-mano without using youtube....jonas brothers and jb can't match silverchair at their teens....

  • @lumapas especially since JB and Jonas Brothers had to have their music written for them! LOL this was true talent at its best!!

  • fuck all this pop and rap shit around these days the 90s had the best music

  • every singer now relies on electronic shit to get their albums sold. theyre so busy trying to make a good beat that they forget to put actual talent into their songs. what happened to the simple guitar-drums-lead singer band structure? get rid of pitbull, far east movement, etc. and bring back these kinds of bands!

  • @charisma343 the good music is hidden being done by local groups playing in bars, back yards, at fairs and anywhere else they can

  • Propably one of the best guitar solo I've ever heard...

  • this is so great . i love the tones he uses in their songs .. reminds kurt so bad

i have faith in kids today, im a musician myself and i hope i can get somewhere, since music has been so terrible everywhere ..

  • Man i'm 15 years old too and i feel weird and sad listen to the music of now

the last decade was horrible i hope to see some new material and good music like the 90' . 80' , 70'' ,etc

  • O Mestre o principe do grunge

  • 16 years old must do this ROCK!!!!! 59 fans of justin bieber!!! :@

  • In the 90's.... we didn't have faggot internet haters with shit comments and arguments like under this video. In the 90's... We would watch this and go "wow, what a good song" But now we pick at each others comments and try and find the slightest thing wrong with it!! Music will never be the same... because the world will never be the same!!

  • WOW silverchair used to be amazing its a shame dan was a bit of a fuck up :/ silverchair broke up in may but hopefully the other members will form a new band

  • Im 13 years old and i respect all different eras...

I love bands from the 80s such as GnR and Maiden

I love bands from the 90s such as Silverchair, Nirvana, RATM

I love bands now such as BMTH, Lostprophets and The blackout...

    Music is evolving...

  • babiiies :) they were soo small back then.. omg <3

  • muito legal shade uma das minhas musicas preferidas do silverchair banda lokaaaaaaaaaa

  • God you people are so stupid. Music today doesn't suck at all. What are you guys listening too? Maybe rap, and hip hop... Is that what everyone means. Rap? Yeah Rap is kinda horrible. Dont go putting good music that is made today into the same catagory as rap and hip hop and say its bad beacuse it was made after a certin year. And WTF is with this.. Im ** and i love this type of music... No one gives a fuck. My 7 year old cousin, she listens to classic rock. What makes you kids so speical?

  • @flipside799 Can you name 10 great bands that exist today please.

  • @pwnicorn1 no

  • @pwnicorn1 hmmm.. foo fighters, kings of leon, red hot chili peppers, queens of the stone age, incubus.... nope i cant barely name five good bands of today...

  • Just a kid conquering the world!!

  • this song is beautiful...long live frogstomp!!!!

  • This just bleeds 90's all over.

  • This video is dedicated by some fan from KPC club.

    Thanks to her

    KPC Admin.

    ~i.m.y ~

  • 58 people are hiding in the shade

  • I remember when this song first came out. I never knew they had a real video for it. I taught myself how to play it on a guitar and to this day it is one of my favorite songs to play. I just wish Silverchair hadn't changed their sound so much. Everything I've heard by them since Neon Ballroom(and a lot of it) sucked. Such a shame.

  • Im 15 years old and I like all the music created before the 2000's

The 90's was amazing, specially bands like Silverchair, Alice in chains, Nirvana

And the 80's were great in their own way.

But music nowadays is just crap :/

  • @icyflames1995 yeah i'm a teenager as well and I can't stand listening to the horrible shit they play on the radio and tv today. It just makes me so mad that people with REAL talent and ambition don't get the attention they deserve and that they actually work for and artists who have NO originality whatsoever end up making millions of dollars from an album they didn't even write. It just isn't fair. but thats just my opinion I guess.

  • @theXsecretXdemon Same here bro :) I believe in everything you say. Its not just your opinion, its my opinion too. Infact, Its great to know that people like me still exist in parts of the world. I just can't find anyone listening to music that I do, right here in this country :/

  • @icyflames1995 I know what you mean. Its sad as well that not only is the great creative free spoken music we listen to being dismissed by the general population but also it seems that as time goes by the crappy music is becoming crapper which is giving me a feeling of unease knowing that our generation and the generations after that who have no mind or drive are going to be the ones in control of our life where we live as we know it. To me that is a VERY scary thought.

  • @theXsecretXdemon so live and let die!

  • @icyflames1995 i´m 80´s. and can say yes! 90's was brutal in rock scene!

  • @icyflames1995 you rock!

  • @maramayhem Thanks.

If your case is the same, you rock too \m/

  • @icyflames1995 I have 15 too andi love the 90´s too (: 80's mmmm not at all but the 80's were good. (:

  • @icyflames1995 When these guys had 15 too they recorded this song and the album too (:

  • @icyflames1995 young man, please explore the 50's, 60's and 70's as well. You will not be disappointed.

  • @ibanezgeorge Im exploring the 70s as well :D

And with time, ill go backwards :P

    I like (Y)

  • @icyflames1995 Oh, really? I'm 24 and I don't know why all on YouTube writes about their age

  • @OlympiaMusicTV Because most of the people from my agegroup listen to crappy hip hop/RNB songs :) its for them to realize.

  • @icyflames1995 Don't be proud, Silverchair is crappy copy of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden mixed as one.

Are the RnB and hip hop crappy, or maybe this songs are?

  • @OlympiaMusicTV why are you watching this video man? I dont get it- you obviously dont like the Chair so why watch? As Pauline Hansen would say, "please explain"? :-)

  • @turdonmylips Becuase I lestened to Silverchair. Nowadays I don't listen, so I came here because of memory.

  • @icyflames1995 how can you forget to mention the 70's- best era of music

  • @icyflames1995 Keep it up bro, wish there was more teens like you nowadays. I'm 19 and fell in love with the 90's around your age aswell.

  • @icyflames1995 i agree i just wish i could travel back to the 90s when everything made more sense

  • @icyflames1995 you dont like 60s and 70s?

  • @PaladinswordSaurfang I like the 70s too man .. never heard the 60s ..

I bet I wont like them, thats like going toooo back in time :P

  • @icyflames1995 .....the "60's". well, its one good way to hear the pioneers of the modern scene! without Hendrix, this song would not exist!

  • @icyflames1995 Learn to look for new good stuff. It's out there trust me ;). If you need anything pm.

  • @icyflames1995 you give this old man hope in today's youth my friend...

  • @icyflames1995 amo la musica de los 90´s marcó pauta para las decadas siguientes, a muchos hoy tan solo recordamos por fortuna quedan algunos dandonos de esa musica

  • @venalien what?

    English please.

  • @icyflames1995 number 1: no one gives a fuck how old you are

Number 2: there is still plenty of good music out there, bands like Foo Fighters, The Living End, The White Stripes, System Of A Down, and the older bands who continue making music today like Metallica, Megadeth, Pearl Jam and so on, so you are incorrect, there is plenty of good music out there these days, you just have to find it and enjoy it rather than complaining

  • @cbfdxbxsb You stupid fool, im taking about the music mainstream nowadays.

You got no fucking brains you fucking asshole.

All those bands were fucking before before the 00s

    So you better STFU!

because I know what im talking about alright?

I'm not fucking complaining, im making a point here

And I mention my age because most people my age listen to shit, im one of the few who listen to real stuff alright?

  • @icyflames1995 you said "music nowadays" that means all music. of course most mainstream music sucks, it's been the same way for decades, the 90's also had the backstreet boys and new kids on the block whi were fucking horrendous. every dacade has it's share of good and bad music, including this one. and the next one will too, as will the next one.

and it doesn't matter what fucking age you are, people of all ages listen to both good music and crap music

    all you're points are invalid

  • @cbfdxbxsb But back in the 90s, most popular music was actually the good one.

Nowadays, its lady gaga and justin beiber everywhere. Backstreet boys sucked, but they were better than the mainstream shit nowadays.

And nowadays the tune just doesn't sound legit enough.

Most of the people agree with my comment over there, why should I argue with ONE person?

  • @icyflames1995 if you're talking about grunge, that was only really popular for a couple of years. after cobain died grunge kinda died with him, yeh, pearl jam and soundgarden and alice in chains and newer grunge groups like silverchair kept goin, but they certainly wern't mainstream popular.

and i disagree to your comment that backstreet boys were better than what we have now. backstreet boys are not better than anything! neither is beiber

  • @cbfdxbxsb That means we have different opinions

Alice In Chains may not be mainstream but they've still got it, even without layne. They're one of my fav groups of all times.

    Forgot about Iron Maiden?

They had success since they came into the music industry.

Gotta love every CD from them :)

Im listening to em right now.

Trust me, nobody can make music as good as these guys anymore, Iron maiden, Nirvana, AIC, Screaming trees, etc.

  • @icyflames1995 Seriously dude, cbfdxbxsb is totally correct when he/she said MOST mainstream music of ANY ERA is horrible crap. There are always exceptions to any rule of course. Look around and try listening to stuff other than what's in the charts/popular... coz there are a bunch of great bands around right NOW.

  • @LantaGem Agree with your point that there are some good bands here around :)

thats what im trying to explain to cdfdxbxsb :)

You got the rifles, the horrors. Mostly indie stuff, some of metal and abit of rock , etc.

  • @icyflames1995 Sorry, must have misunderstood your original comment, when you said 'but music nowadays in just crap'. That just sounded like you think most music nowadays is, well, crap. ;)

It's true that there's a bunch of indie/alt bands around NOW - problem is, we just have to search a little harder to find them. Course, it's always been that way to some extent. Most 80s and 90s alternative music was never played on mainstream radio/video hits shows.

  • @LantaGem We all have different opinions and the mainstream music of the 80s and 90s was pretty good.

We had Iron maiden, Micheal jackson, New order, REM in the 80s and in the 90s we had Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in chains (abit) in the mainstream section.

Although pop music was always bad, maybe its not my type.

The thing is that Rock, right now is not good. Daughtry, Shinedown, Simple plan, Sum41. Theyre all a piece of shit.

But thats just my opinion :)

  • @icyflames1995 Sum 41 is pretty good, bro. Their last album is really good. But that's just my opinion. :)

  • @thomasetful I respect your opinion, after all we all have different taste in music :)

  • @icyflames1995 I do respect yours too. And yeah yeah. C:

  • @icyflames1995

Daughtry, Shinedown, Simple plan, Sum41. Theyre all a piece of shit.

    THumbs up brother

  • @armarni123 Sum 41 is decent, rest meh

  • @armarni123 Daughtry could have been a respectable singer from an awesome rock band if he hadn't been on American Idol...

  • @armarni123 yes but shinedown is a very amazing band you piece of shit! how dare you put them in the same category as those loser bands!!

  • @armarni123 ....... ur a piece of shit

  • @LantaGem What are you talking about a lot of 80's and 90's alternative music were palyed on radio stations and on MTV and VH1.

  • @mtzxple Well I disagree, especially regarding alternative music of the 80s. Certainly there was a minority of 90s alternative/underground acts that received mainstream attention - but that exposure rarely extended beyond their one "big hit" (which was often aired ad nauseum to the exclusion of other, better material these bands may have recorded.)

  • @icyflames1995 great band they are awesome
