okay, you did fine. it looks lt looks good. hardly diffrent though. your very pretty. but for thinner hair like your i recomend some paul mitchel smoothing serum. it works gret, i give it to all my clients. it good for your hair, protects thinner haifr exxpeciallyyz. and just to tell you trimming your own bangs isnt a great idea. i know it seems like it wors but going to get them done really helps in the long run.

you should probably use a comb when you do the flat ironing. when you separate the hair with a comb, the results are better and there is slightly less damage

Risa, You look so pretty in this one!! I actually am a hair dresser..and if you can make your hair smooth without sections...then go for it!! most people need to section off because of thickness, style or whatever.....that said....get a thermal protector girl!!! most you can just spray on after you get out of the shower or right before you start ironing..it will really protect and save your hair..and also protect the color. xoxo

yup im a trainee hairdresser atm and you really should be using a protectant but at the college i go to we dont use it and it all depends on what your hair type is, if your confident enough to not use it and not burn your hair go for it, because all straightening does is flatern out your cuticle ans smoothen it out but yeh

Cute vid. For anti-frizz/shine spray, to keep it from weighing down your hair, try spraying it onto your hands, rubbing them together, and then smoothing it through. You can also do this to focus product in certain areas (like the ends, the hairline, the part, etc.). Your hands are your best tools!!

I have long thin hair too. I love my hair but it gets messy very quick. It curls, it waves and stuffs like that but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Having thin hair is really good when it comes to use a flat iron, it's so quick.

Have you tried to curl your hair with a flat iron ?

Yes!!! Especially in the humidity out here :( I've curled the ends but never all of my hair. Curls have never stuck well for me anyhow unless I spray my hair with hairspray and THEN use a curling iron which is beyond horrible for your hair and it makes crunchy curls lol

You mentioned in another video that you don't wash your hair for a few days after coloring. Do you use dry shampoo or baby powder or anything? I have thin, fine hair and I try not to wash it very often but you can really tell that it hasn't been washed. It is pretty oily so I've been trying to find the right product to soak that up.

Nope! I dont use anything...though I should say that Ive only dyed it once since being in NY and I couldnt last 10 days not washing it. When I was in SF though, it was fine. Different (cleaner) air quality in SF I guess. Though when/if mine starts to get oily, I just throw it in a ponytail and wear a hat.

I don't know if you know this, I just want to give you a tip ^^ I also have very thick hair, pretty much the same lenght as Risas (when I've flattened it) But Section Section Section. In even smaller pieces then risa does in the video. It takes me about a half an hour to make it flat (and I have CURLY hair)

hahaha The only hair product that works for me is kerastase wich is expensive in this part of the World and every time i want to have it flat and that lasts all day , I go to the salon but they charge me $20 american dollars to do it !!

Of course i go every time i have a very VERY special ocasion.

I have fine hair, too.. the heat really effects my hair.... I use Tresemme Heat Tamer spray... it's like, $3 and makes your hair super soft, protected and doesn't weigh down your hair... I can spray it on the crown without worrying about losing my already nonexistent body haha

Your hair is just like mine. And I loved your "I should be sectioning it off", lol. I don't bother. I just run it through super fast and go. I usually end up putting in a ponytail halfway through the day. I really wish I could do bangs like yours, but I don't think they'd end up as pretty or full as yours.
