  • look lets face it ,this is a far better version than the california jams version.

now im for the glen hughes more exposure society ,so if its all about the money you copyright infringment freaks! good on you,,, lets do more shelving like the gagas. the coles the take thats and the x factors just to let real talent to shine..i thank you

  • awesome.......what a version....glenn voice keeps getting better with age..

  • glenn = voice of rock

  • I'not sure,we should call it the test of time.Glenn passed this test increadibly well.

Probobly much better, than the other guys from Deep Purple did.

  • he is the one! keep on rock'in we need you!

  • I love glenn hughes, he is one of my favourite vocalists

  • whitesnake should play mistreated these days, coverdale is the best to sing this song

  • would of been better if hughes had replaced gillan in purple instead of joe lyn turner back in the early 90s

  • good point

  • As the biggest Dio fan I've ever met and a huge Zeppelin, Glenn Hughes is just as skilled as Dio or Plant. He is truly an incredible vocalist.

  • Glenn Hughes could never shine the shoes of Ronnie James DIO or even David (the Robert Plant rippoff) Coverdale...he's a recycled Ian Gillan at best.

  • Merovingian1971,

You talk out of your ass! If you knew what you were talking about, you would be dangerous! You benn through the ass & don't know shit!

  • Merovingian1971 is crazy!!! each voice is unique!

Glenn have influences of blues, soul and gospel...talk about stevie wonder ok! Glenn is fantastic like this other stars!!

  • Sorry to burst your bubble..but if the truth hurts ..TOO F'N Bad!...Glenn is indeed an Ian gillan Wannabee...much like JLT, Coverdale...the list continues...Each voice would be unique if each voice attempted to sound like themself rather than others.

  • The great thing about the Purple vocalists post-Gillan is that they were all totally different to Ian. Love them or loathe them, I can't see how you can label Hughes, Coverdale or JLT as Gillan clones. Glenn Hughes has completely different influences from Ian Gillan. The only cross-over is perhaps their prowess at screaming, but even then it's a totally different ball-game.

  • Mero don't have vision if you say "is red", "green" he says; I know!! don't know! Red can be apple red, blood red, ferrari red. green like Hulk or lemon? Gillan have different influences of 60's songs, probably he knows Hughes songs in Purple but he knows Stevie Wonder? Gillan don't have influences of Wonder! Where's Coverdale in Glenn's voice? sorry to me is like a horse walking with straps that believe nothing exist by side. Mero have to listen Building the machine or Burn in japan!!!

  • This post just proves that you've NEVER heard a whole show with Glenn Hughes.

It's ok to be a sceptic, but Glenn is nothing like Gillan at all. Glenn's influences is in the soul genre mostlyl, artists like Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone. From what you're saying about Coverdale, I reckon you never heard anything he did outside Purple as well, you seem to be a pretty narrow minded MK2 fanboy.

  • Are you crazy??????

  • Very well!! I love it

  • hey people, there used to be a mistreated video on youtube, taken from california jam. later they removed it for copyright infringement?

why was it so? how was it different from other videos?

  • Cal Jam is an official video and DVD release.

  • AWESOME! Glenn Hughes is the man. And JJ Marsh is excellent.

  • Excellent guitarist yes. But it's not Blackmore of course. But this one of the best non-Blackmore versions!!! One of the best songs ever...

Who is Walter Giardino? And is playing Deep Purple's Mistreated???

  • Walter is a guiarist from a group called Rata Blanca. He's really good. He's been on stage with Mago de Oz. They're one of my favorite bands. Check out "Molinos de Viento" or "Fiesta Pagana." They are really good.

  • This is good, but the version with Walter Giardino is better, Oh Yeah!

  • Three words... OH MY GOD!!! =D

  • doesnt have the feel or touch of blackmore.

  • who was the guitarist man!!!??? tell me pls

  • JJ Marsh. Truly excellent player. http://www.jj-marsh.com/

  • ahh the mighty glenn..looking good...better screamer than gillan

  • you're right
