You Know what i found interesting during ABC'S Broadcast of Super Bowl 29 is that when ABC Monday Night Football opened up it's 25th Season of football the 49ers Started their 1994 campaign against the L.A Raiders on ABC and won, then in Super Bowl 29 the season ended on ABC with the 49ers destroying the Chargers to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy is that unreal or not.
Ya see a quick shot of Dick Vermeil and Boomer Esiason @ 1:23. Random though five years later who would have guessed that Vermeil would win a Super Bowl with the Rams with Boomer in the broadcast booth on the same very network they appear here on...
I was so little that all I remember from this was a little bit of the Indiana Jones halftime show lol. I didn't even know what football was at the time lol.
So far, this is the first and only all california Super Bowl the NFL had. The one of the two all-state Super Bowl thay have is XXV (An all New York state Super Bowl Bills vs. Giants). There are other all state Super Bowls that might happen in the future: Texas (Cowboys vs. Texans), Pennsylvania (Steelers vs. Eagles), Florida (Bucs vs. Dolphins/Jaguars) and/or Missouri (Rams vs. Chiefs),
I think everyone knew before the Super Bowl who was going to win. The odds were stacked so greatly against the Chargers. It's a shame they had to face one of the toughest teams in NFL history, otherwise they could have won.
If anybody out there has a Copy of Super Bowl 29 with the introduction, the helmets clashing, Hank Williams Jr Performing, as well as the game itself, will you upload Super Bowl 29 for everybody to see please?
I have to say that ABC's sports coverage is now the weakest among the four broadcast networks. They have lost too many marquee events over the years. The only marquee events that ABC has left are the Indy 500, NBA Finals, and the Rose Bowl.
Anyone else find it retarded that they are pushing figure skating in all these promos during the Super Bowl? How many figure skating fans are watching the Super Bowl?
Does anyone else notice that when they show that Jim O'Brien kick (3:21) from Super Bowl V, that they don't show the actual kick? What they show in this clip (and have shown for years) is the extra point that he kicked earlier in the 4th quarter.
@marquettefootball I have seen the real kick on other NFL films videos (the official Super Bowl VI video and the 1990 film "Greatest Moments in Super Bowl History"). And you can tell the O'Brien kick they usually show is not the game-winning field goal -- on the game-winner, O'Brien was in the shadows; on the kick usually shown, he was not in the shadows AND he was kicking from only 10 yards away.
It's bittersweet & ironic that the team of Gordeeva/Grinkov is shown because a few months later, he passed away at 29, which was the same edition as this Super Bowl.
@leftyJR3 That's what I said immediately, split second later I look down and your comment is first, "CHRIS MCKENDRY!?!" lmao. She's sssssssssssssmooooookin!
Before ABC sold out to Disney.

should have just handed the 49ers the trophy immediately after the nfc championship game and saved everyone time and money.

ABC sure knew how to put on a show without losing focus on the game itself.

As far as I know, the theme heard at various points throughout this video was only used for Super Bowl XXIX.

@FutureNewsAnchor well, it seems to have influenced the "Monday Night Countdown" theme.
