  • I love the way your car sounds, I can't wait to get mine...I meant to hit the like button but I hit the wrong one, damn laptop touchpad and damn youtube for not allowing undo lol. sorry.

  • Your car sounds nice.. I have the same cam... Do you have it idling at 700 rpms? I have mine at 800rpms, take a look at my video if you like.

  • it was idling around 700~ or so when I made the vid. that motor is gone now though, ate a rod bearing in january. now I have a 383, need to get a new video up.

  • Oh that sucks... I had 60 miles on my cc503 then I spun the 3 and 5 rod bearings, all the bearing were new too...

Can't wait to hear the 383.

  • where do u buy the cc 503 cam

  • Sounds like a true muscle car good choice

  • Do you have any surging with this cam? I have this cam in lt4 Corvet and it has some surging when RPM is less than 2000

  • nah never had any surging problems. Is your car tuned?

  • Yes it has a custom computer program by Ed Wright at Fastchip but it has never been on dyno. I am afraid that it may be opti that is causing that surging. The car was 8 weeks at the sea when it was shipped wrom FL to here Finland so there is a change that there is some moisture inside the opti

  • @t4b100 did you get a larger stall converter? the stock one could be causing it

  • @t4b100 it could be surging if you have an automatic and your stall isnt big enough

  • I cant find your new vid, send me the link

  • Did you install new springs and roller rockers with the cam? Im going to install that cam in my 1996 trans am

  • yes installed the Crane Dual Coil Kit 10308-1 ($160~) which is good for .600" lift and Comp Magnum 1.6 Roller Tip Rockers SA ($170~)

motor is done now though so no more CC503, now a 12:1 383 with custom LE cam, ported heads, and intake

  • makes me want to put that cam in my 97 t/a :)

  • I'd like to know the exact idle rpm for the tune. I'll be putting this cam in my TA soon.

  • I'm pretty sure it was idling around 700rpm

  • nice

  • thanks man. the exhaust at the time was SLP loudmouth with pacesetter midlength headers. the idle was around 700-750 I believe

  • damn, ive admired this car for a good while, and am rebuilding my LT1 as we speak. I have the 503 now and was wondering what your idle set at and what exhaust? The car sounds nasty. Love it. Ill be posting some vids within the next month.

  • Oh one more thing, are you using stock heads?

  • yup

  • Awesome cam. i'm looking into getting the 503 tor my '94 t/a, did you go with the 1.6rr's and beefier springs?

  • I got comp magnum 1.6 rr's, comp hardened pushrods and the crane dual coil spring kit

  • Sounds like a solid setup, hopefully my t/a will be cammin soon

  • What was the idle RPM set at? I'm assuming you lowered it to get that much lope?

  • hey man ur car sounds like a beast,is it stock with only CC503? im thinking of getting the same cam for my 92 camaro TPI

  • thanks. it's got headers, intake, 3000 stall, and nitrous

  • That cam makes me horny. I'm throwing it in my Formula soon.

  • Awesome sound!

  • What company did you order the cc503 cam from?

  • Comp Cams

  • the cc503 can yojust put it in and not have to worry about other mads such as springs lifters push rods and such

  • Damn, that sounds nasty!

  • would've took about 3 days but cam was installed wrong the first time around

  • sounds awesome man how long did it take you to install?
