King Arthur, the reason why Arthur is a girl in fate, is because that history in fate covered up king arthur's gender since rulers of England cant be women, so Saber had to hide her gender

the blue and white color of her outfit, golden hair, and with that breastplate (cuirass, maybe?) gives you a french-ish feeling. she is better off with being Jean D'arc, and I think the only reason why she became King Arthur is because of the legendary sword.

Saints are human and what's sacred about them is the message they conveyed through their actions. If doing so made them legendary, then what's wrong with letting the legend capture your imagination? And if that's the case what's wrong with expressing your imagination? Sure if it's a porn game I'd understand how that would offend people, but a romance anime? If they had incorporated elements of the legend of Jean D'arc then it could have been a masterpiece, a truly heart wrenching romance.

True, maybe that choice wouldn't be offensive if sex wasn't half of what the game was about. Still King Arthur? I can think of 20 other ancient heroines who don't have any sort of holiness attached to them, Queen Boadicea of the Icenic Celts for example, or Maeve of Connacht, or perhaps even brunhilde or one of the valkyries.

@baronofcheese Yeah that would have made more sense, there was a real female knight, rather then giveing a male knight a sex change. Your idea makes more sense and i would have made the show a bit more sensible.

@thinkbigg1 I agree 100%. Everything about the Last Episode from Realita Nua was amazing, even the song that went with it, Yume No Owari. As they seem to be doing all routes Fate and UMB released so far I am hoping they choose to animate the Last Episode ending too. Fingers crossed!

Meh. I'm not too fond of Saber. I played the game and tried to get through the Fate route just to play Unlimited Blade Works route. Much better way to go for Shirou, I'd say.
