the dvd sample from the website says this form is from hong longfist. which is it? islamic longfist or hong longfist? also, if anyone has detailed history about this form, please post it. thanks.

The name of the style is Xiao hong quan so obviously its a "hong" long fist style. And its stated in the info that its an islamic variant......your question weather it was islamic longfist or hong long fist was pretty stupid....its an islamic hong longfist obviously.lol Good luck finding any detailed info on any ancient form other then a few lines of generic info.

TSP's forms are all from different systems, TSP's little red fist is basically this form.

No, it couldn't. If you have lived and trained in Taiwan as I have, you'll know that the TSP material is an amalgamation of various forms that were all popular in Taiwan.

I concede the introductory forms are from Nanjing Institute, and that is well known and never hidden, but I have yet to see Mandarin Duck, Through the Heart straightsword,Pear Blossom straight sword, 12legs (12 kicks)and others,demonstrated anywhere else. Remember, Tien Shan Pai is a "school" of Boxing,and not system.

@tienshanpai , I have a video of 12 kicks form from Taiwan.... it's for sure from another system... not TSP. Tien Shan Pai is a great "system", it's the best from various styles...

It was already explained that it was converted from beta. Many styles have similar names but I still disagree,how different does it have to be to be different?

I have been practicing that form for many years. I know it well. This is the same form - different flavor. I assure you it is the same form, same exact structure and moves. It's quite clear by comparing it to the clip of Jyne Liu.

Also you are correct there are many forms by that name XiaoHong Quan - but the one in this video is the same form that KungFu Liu (Jyne liu's father) taught from the TSP system.

This is further proof that the TSP system is a conglomeration of forms. The video that you referred to is the same exact form - just done differently. But it has been argued by some that this is a special 3000 year old form from xianjiang province on tian shan. Now we see that it is REALLY a Muslim form from Shandong!!!

Furthermore- notice how the TSP guys cleverly changed the name from "little red fist" to "little red cloud fist" - very clever!!

This is the same form used by Tien Shan Pai called "red boxer" or "little red fist". The Tien Shan Pai version is done a bit differently but the "guts' are the same.
