You can use a dumbbell... It is tough for me to tell you want weight to use. Start light and adjust from there. Remember you are doing the exercise for 45 seconds. You want it to be challenging. you want to be struggling by 30 seconds into the interval.
@marcroops Funk! Just finished the workout and it was intense! I've been home for 45 minutes and my heart rate is still going. Thanks for an awesome work out. It was tough but I pulled through. I was drenched at the end of the workout! Krazy!
@zako23 You are AWESOME!!!! - What you are experiencing is your body continuing to need oxygen at a higher rate than before the workout. This sustained oxygen consumption is known as excess post exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). It takes your body up to 36 hours to work its way back to homeostasis (a normal state). That means you'll incinerate calories for hours after you finish training, even if you're just lying on the sofa or on Youtube, that is what you want to help burn fat 24/7
@marcroops Thanks a lot Funk! The information is great and I felt really good this morning. I will be doing this workout again tomorrow and then try another one of your similar workouts next week. Thanks again Funk!
I love what you say about strength/cardio workouts vs. the treadmills etc. I usually would do anything to avoid the hamster wheel machines (nothing wrong with them; I just don't love them). I just have to fit your workouts in with my weight lifting somehow. I definitely have to get that Gymboss timer. I've looking for something like it for awhile.
@LloydChristmas777 - Hey Lloyd, Just use the Spartacus Workouts as your Cardio session (Cardio day) and the Gymboss Timer makes such a difference...Make you accountable - lol - I LOVE IT and HATE IT! - Funk
@LloydChristmas777 - Hey Lloyd, the comments will come. I have to prompt my subscribers. I love Battling Rope Exercises and in fact used them in a couple of my workout videos. So amaziing for cardio, muscular endurance, grip strength and overall conditioning. - CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO IN MY UPLOADED LIST CONDITIONING WORKOUT #1 FOR MMA, MUAY THAI, BJJ AND WRESTLING

Thanks Funk! Gonna try this tonight.
Quick question, if my local gym doesn't have kettle bells, what can I use instead?
Let's say I use a dumbbell instead, how many pounds should I use?

@zako23 Hey C,

Hope that helps and let me know how it goes

@marcroops, Well okay. That makes sense. Thanks.
You have some amazing information. I know you have many subscribers, but I have no idea why there aren't too many comments on some videos.
What do you think about "rope" exercises? I used to use that for cardio until my gym no longer allowed me to use them before 8am.
