None of the WCW guys looked strong against the federation guys and it was all build up just to have Austin & Rock again. It was a pointless storyline.
The problem was that besides Booker T, DDP, and too a certain extent RVD. The Alliance had no bankable stars. They were all mid-card acts. What killed the angle, was the fact WWF realized this and couldn't fully run the angle. Plus Benoit, Eddie, Triple H where out due to injuries/personal demons which would have added to the Storyline. They needed the Stings, Nash, Halls, Flairs, and Hogans, and Mysterios and I'm still not if they'd decided to play ball that the Angle would've been better.
@wwfownage Well, he did re-formthe NWO when he first return. The return was about 8 months too late; it would've been epic for the NWO to invade WWF, WCW and ECW

The biggest shock in 2001 was when Austin turned his back on the WWF and joined the alliance. I still liked Austin when he turned heel that night. J.R.'s reaction was incredible and priceless at the same time. I still miss JR on Raw and Cole still sucks.
No one brings a sign just in case. WWE makes all the signs for the audience members. WWE will have an 18-0 sign and 17-1 sign for Undertaker at Wrestlemania and depending on the outcome, it will show the correct sign. WWE hands out signs to the audience members before they take their seats. The sign wasn't brought "just in case."
