In the acts of the Apostles (chapter 16, verses 11-15 & 17 verses 1-15, Pauls journey to Macedonia) there is a description of Macedonia and we can see the names of its cities Philippoi, Thessaloniki (not Solun), Neapolis, Amphipolis, Appolonia, Beroia all GREEK names. Apostle Paul and Silas also mention the ethnicities that found in Macedonia, Jews, Romans, Greeks. There is no mention of a Macedonian ethnicity separate from the Greek nation, Macedonians are identified as Greeks.

As for the quote from the bible the Romans had divided Greece into various provinces which were administrative regions. During the time of Apostle Paul Greece was divided into the provinces of Macedonia, Epirus and Greece. First, it is true that Greece regognised a Yugoslavian Republic with the name Macedonia but a Yugoslavian republic was not an independent country and your passports were Yugoslavian not Macedonian. Second there are plenty of Greek maps in our old school books with Macedonia on our side and just Yugoslavia on the other side. You just did not find them important I guess. Third Greece objected the use of the name Macedonia since 1945 but our allies did not want to hurt Tito

Theres a region of Eastern Belgium called Luxemburg, and the state of Luxemburg is not being an idiot about it. As long as no one wants to move the borders, and that everyone aspires to eventually live together, with Slavic minorities in Greece, Greek minorities in Albania, and Albanian minorities in Macedonia.

Moreover its around 2.500 yrs old, not so old as u said. About the greekness of macedonians its writted by greek authors who were eye-witness's of the greek tribe of macedonians.
