Way to go Murray. Again, News 12 sidesteps the issues and tries for the same ol' Jersey politics angle of "You are not connected with party so you won't go anywhere." These are the tactics by the media to destroy the true classic, Taft republicanism which is now non-existent in the U.S. and been long gone from N.J. by 40 plus years. Keep at it Murray!

Hi, airborne 373...sorry for accidentally marking your comment as spam...I meant to hit "reply."

Murray believes that the government should be fiscally retrained, but that it still has functions. Those functions include caring for our veterans and active duty soldiers (and their families). The reason why he opposes wasteful spending is because it diverts resources away from some necessary spending...like taking care of our soldiers. Like Ron Paul he finds the VA Hospital Scandal unacceptable.

sabrinforsenate - The root of my question is should more money be spent on housing, education, health care, etc. for U.S. Armed service members and their families. It seems to me while BILLIONS go to defense contractors not enough is spent supporting our men and women in uniform. I see labeled "Republicans" aka Neo-Cons talk about supporting the troops while cutting benefits. I hope Murray Sabrin will make a point of truly supporting the men and women of out Armed Services.

he believes the government should fund the troops. that's why he says he believes in a strong national defense. that's one of the few roles that the federal government should participate in.
