One of the benefits I could see of the Appunto (more specitically, how it doesn't open that wide) is that because it's slim and doesn't expand too far, it will force guys to cull any crap that they don't really need to take along, but still have enough storage to take what you really need. I can't imagine someone buying one and wanting to stuff with junk so it bulges and looks like crap.
