Kaspersky is horseshit. They secretly pay hackers to infiltrate the internet of someones system and "pretend" to protect your computer. Just like any other virus that downloads a fake anti-virus program, Kaspersky is pure fucking horseshit. I felt that I needed to do this. I got this laptop im using right now this past christmas.

I installed Kaspersky from a disc I also recieved for christmas. 1.5 weeks later, my computer got infected. I was pissed. I let kaspersky do its job and about 2 days later, the infection was found and removed. This infection was buisness. i couldn't even get on microsoft word.

things were damaged, but kaspersky took care of that too shortly afterward. I recommend this to everyone.

its a good anti virus for protecting your computer but it makes an huge use of your resources. On my computer in average it's using 40% or more & I have core 2 Duo at 2.15 Ghz 4GB ram DDR2.

If I'm running a flash application or just browsing the web I can expect over 60% I am forced to constantly pause the antivirus.

According to Kasperky's own Dai Zovi (security researcher) Microsoft simply cannot keep up with the flood of exploits that have overwhelmed users in the past years. But sandboxing, reducing the browser's ability to affect the rest of the OS, is the best way to block most attacks. (which only Google Chrome has and Firefox is working on).

i just installed this and i ran a scan,after the scan the widget turned yellow and it says that it detected a legal software that can be used by criminals for damaging your computer or personal data, i clicked 'Fix it now' and it deleted the object then rebooted after but when it turned back on its still at risk WTF! can anyone help me?

Kaspersky IS offer great protectin, which except the basic anvitirus/antispyware offer really strong HIPS/Firewall moduls, the real time protections is also amazing, but the main problem with it its very heavy on the sysytem, so i use NIS which offer same level od protection but its alot lighter.

never had a problem the go to settings-firewall-settings-per­mission-right click a program that needs updating like spyware and select prompt for action then ok apply. then go to your program that needs updating and update. note kaspersky well just let it connect to the internet with no prompt or asking thats a big bug and a useless firewall!!..

i had the 2010 version of internet security, i was happy with it, i bought this new version and to say in my opinion the program itself has been taking up a LOT of memory for no reason...... my pc is a intel quad core Q6600 cpu, 4 gb ram windows 7 64 ultimate, so yeah i don't see what the problem is there, has anyone had the same problem?? also i noticed kaspersky starts to climb up in memory usage every minute or so in task manager, so yeah i'm not very happy at all

uhm am I the only one experiencing slow shut downs after trying it out (same version 11.0.1.400), shut down time of about 5 minutes dead, no performance issue reports in windows, even after deleting it and removing the leftovers with their removal tool no change in shut down time. (PC is not that slow, quad core with 4GB ram and 2 older video cards in SLI).... kind of a huge let down from KASPERSKY this time

@Tiger2010ization Depends on the settings :) I had these problems too, but then I chose recommended settings while Kaspersky installation, so it decides for itself in most cases (not for viruses). Hope this helped :) Just choose the recommended settings in Kaspersky while installing.

The full scan is soooo slooow, and sometimes I get the BSOD during the scan. Other than that, it's great, it found stuff that Norton did not find. ALSO there's a feature to let you install various skins (I use Kaspersky 2010).

$60-80 for mediocre, I like how people try to defend these consumer level Internet Security suites they are no better than free programs. I have owned Mcafee in the past and have CA Security Suite currently which I do not use and they never picked up things that, the free programs find. Unless your an idiot with your email, pirating music and programs or watching/downloading porn you really should be having virus issues. When I first got my laptop, I got Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009, when I installed it it wouldn't do anything. It didn't work at all. I guess it wasn't compatible with Windows 7...:p Anyway I put Norton Internet Security on and it works perfectly!
