Zaak will always Be a GUITAR GIANT. I couldn't give 2 shits what people say about him. Sure, the MAD MAN,is a Gibson Les Paul CUSTOM wielding, Marshall on 10 Guitar MONSTER .However, to get OZZYs attention, and to fill the shoes of Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Brad Gillis, Tony Iommi, etc. He Had to be FUCKING Good. Impeccable Timing, sweep arpeggios, harmonics that will melt your ball bag, and not to mention KILLER Les Paul TONE. Its not easy to do what Zakk does on a Les Paul.

I just have one thing to say, everyone has their own opinion on guitar skill. No one needs to argue about it. My opinion, Zakk and Alexi are both badass guitarist. They both make amazing music. Randy was a genius as well. And I'm excited to see what Gus G. brings out in Ozzy's music. Either way, they're both great guitarist, and if ya dont' like one of their way of playing, at least respect them for the skill and effort they put into playing it.

He thought it was just another Randy Rhoads clone, so he just threw it back in. A couple days later, at live auditions, The same guy walked in , and lets just say, he's had the gig ever since

Sir Zakk's solos do not sound the same, he uses different shapes from the pentatonic scales and mixes them up and he also uses the blues notes in the scales which is cool. Listen to his solos and actually listen to them, and you will also see how he makes a hook line in every solo to make it stand out from the rest.

Zakk Wylde is a amazing guitarist and I love the way he uses his scales!!!

Totally agree dude!.... Randy R used to talk about finding a 'theme' in a guitar solo. A melody that transcends the riff or rhythm, and you can start low and take it higher, and then return to the theme to finish off. It's a great way of making solo's have an interesting story or journey.

I think most of you are missing the true magic of Jimi's playing. I liken it , sort of, to this comment made by EVH....He said that while he is revered for his soloing, it's his rhythm playing that real musicians appreciate him for. And it's true, he was far more innovative and creative with his rhythm style and techniques. And the same is basically true for Hendrix. Don't listen to guitar solo's. Listen to the music and the song that he's playing.
