I only started being a fan of P!ATD a few months ago, but I understand that this would be really sad for a lot of long time fans and supporters. It's like Mike Dirnt leaving Green Day, because you know that nothing will really be the same. =[

I really DID love Ryan, Back in the Fever You Cant Sweat Out faze,im in FREAKING love STILL with that album, and you have no clue how much i wish Ryan would come back and keep making songs like that with Brendon. All those Long song titles and Amazing concerts! They were so unique, and amazing. But then Ryan wanted To change it all up, Pretty. Odd And i think that that album isnt good. I miss that Old PUNK band, with there crazy hair remember the Ryhawk? and Guyliner and disturbing music videos!

They need to reunite, bring Rydon back together, write songs with really long titles that hardly relate to the lyrics, hold EPIC concerts, wear Guyliner like it's nobodys business, and bring back the Ryhawk AND the unforgettable most epic ROSE VEST! I dont think they realize how much people miss them.

It's been a while since the break-up so i don't think they're getting back, but it would be nice, even though they've moved on. You see, I was like so many P!ATD fans where I was super sad that they split up, and was secretly hoping that Ryan and Jon's band would be a complete failure and then they would realize how much they loved Panic! and would get back in the band. But the moment I heard my first The Young Veins (Ryan and Jon's band) song, all those feelings were washed away. Now I'm praying with all my heart the TYV will be super successful and release more albums, 'cause honestly, there amazing!
The thing is though...I mean, I love Panic! with all my heart, and that includes Ryan and Jon, things just worked when they were all together. But like, I get why they had to split, and even though it's really sad, I think it was for the best. I'd have loved it if Ryan and Jon had stayed but if Panic! were making music they didn't enjoy, we wouldn't enjoy it either. At least now they can both make music they like, and we now get two awesome bands! (even though tyv are on hiatus :/ )

I am upset that the split did happen, but to be honest, I would be so happy if they joined again, but all I really want is them to have there friendship back again. It must be awkward now, they never talk and they were all such good friends. I just wish they had that relationship again.
I wasn't a real big panic fan besides the one song mad as rabbits but by God I am a Young Veins fan, the music is just killer California sun 1966 fun music. Besides beatles I see some beach boys and monkees in them as well. The music rocks and the young veins is just simply an awesome name. You guys have done awesome
It's sad that Ryan and Brendon couldn't agree on things :( I guess Brendon wanted to go the more happy and optimistic route, and Ryan wanted to go the guyliner, sex song route. WHY?!?!
@graceisahurricane Actually, I'm pretty sure Brendon wanted to go more to what they had done on the first album, but a bit different, and ryan wanted them to have more of a Beatles sound (like in pretty. odd.) So yeah.. they couldn't agree and decided to break up :'(

I kind of dislike Ian and Dallon, just because they replaced them. They're probably great people, but not as great as Ryro and Jon. I REALLY don't like the Brallon thing either. It doesn't have the same flare as Ryden...Rydon...idk.

I´ve always loved Ryan's voice, but for some reason I liked this type of sound better when combined with Brendon's a little more alternative voice. Ryan can write, no doubt about that, I just need him to write for Brendon... Like Pretty. Odd, their voices mashed-up and stuff... Why couldn´t they all have made a compromise? A little of Pretty. I'm not really a fan of Ryan, but he's got some mad skills at lyrics. Panic's old sound wouldn't be anything without lyrics that take a week to figure out what they mean, and they just need him back. I really hate his voice though, he can give up backup and let Jon do it. He's way better.

Panic! isn't quite as good without Ryan, he wrote nearly all of the songs. But, I'm not saying that I like TYV though. In my opinion, they're too Beatles like, and less good. I'm glad that all the members, ex and current, of P!ATD are happy tho... I'm just really disappointed. Plus, the new song by PATD isn't that good, Brendon's vocals are the only thing that keep me listening to it. I hope one day Ryan decides to go back to Panic...

I've seriously fallen in love with these boys, 'Northern Downpour' has eased me through some pretty rough shit, and it breaks my heart that they're not together, and all of us fans are in turmoil over it. D:

I think Ryan left the band because he wanted to be the lead singer. He used to be, until they heard Brendon. :/ His voice is good, but not original and powerful like Brendon's is.
This is my opinion, just based on what I've observed over the years.
Ryan previously said, 'emo is shit' and I think that's the main reason the band reformed so much to this indie sound in Pretty.Odd. I have a feeling that Brendon and Spencer are going to go back to the old style, with Ryan gone.
You know, every time I read/hear stuff about the break up, I always think in the back of my head that one day Ryan is definitely going to come back, with or without Jon.
Like, I dunno - I feel like the whole break up wasn't real. It's just so weird to think Panic! is actually Panic! without the two. I remember hearing about this and thinking it was a joke at first. It's just like, sdkfljadksf D; idek.
But ughh, fuck Ryro just admit your love for Bden already.
Everything "worked" with P!ATD because Ryan and Brendon were exactly what the other needed. Ryan was highly-creative and valued lyrical genius, and Brendon was an amazing vocalist and awesome performer. When you combine those two types of artists, you get an awesome, dynamic band. Neither of those qualities can survive on their own, which is why TYV and PATD are both under-appreciated. PATD is now not unique enough to be remarkable, and TYV are too abstract to be relatable.
I really wish they would go back to panic. I loved the songs on the first album, I love all of them. The second album, without Ryan and Jon, was kind of meh. I want their crazy titles, insane lyrics that no one knew what the hell they were talking about (but were completely poetic), and the weird/amazing/emo/indie/30's circus/burlesque/porno theme back!

Panic isn't making the music that people knew them for. But I loved Pretty Odd. It wasn't what I was expecting but It was amazing. I am really sad that Ryan and Jon left though! :(

I never paid attention or listened to Panic! At the Disco (not my thing). Last night I saw the Young Veins and was extremely impressed. Love the sound, the look, everything. Super nice guys, too. THIS is what music needs. Real rock 'n roll. I'm excited! Can't wait for the album.
I'm disappointed with New Perspectuve, though an incredibly catchy song. What made Panic! at the Disco such a unique, individual band before was the fast-paced mind-blowing lyrics with the catchy, quick music. With Ryan gone, I have no idea what's going to happen. I love Jon and Spencer to death, but honestly, this split wouldn't have been quite so heartbreaking if Ryan and Brendon had continued on with P!ATD. Brendon did write two great songs on PO, though [Folkin' Around and IHFIHS]

if you really think about it, you're getting the best of both worlds because of the split. fans of fever can enjoy music related to that sense, while fans of pretty.odd. can listen to music closer to that album. i liked both, so for me i'm getting two kinds of music at once, instead of waiting for the next album in general.

I'm glad they split. IMO, Ryan's lyrics are much, much better than Brendon's and I really love the sound of his voice for the music they do. Brendon's voice usually annoyed me sometimes live. Ryan sounds the same live as he does on an album which is a true talent.
Plus, Pretty. Odd. was a FAR more superior album than Fever. And "New Perspective", while catchy, is lyrically, a terrible song. And "Oh Glory" doesn't sound much better.
Brendon agreed that Ryan is a great songwriter, and that he kinda thinks his poetry sucks. A fever you Can't Sweat Out, and Pretty. Odd. were great in thier own ways. Both Brendon and Spencer think that Panic! At The Disco, and The Young Veins will flourish, and both become great bands.
Can't we just say that there are no teams, and like both bands for their individual styles?

I don't see what's wrong with picking sides when you like one side's current progression over the other's. If "Oh Glory" and "New Perspective" is all I have to go on, then no, I'm not Team Panic! because I don't like either song.
I am just saying, you don't have to like either band. It's just a downer saying something was "FAR superior" when they both are great in their own ways. I don't care on your taste of music, there isn't a better band. They both will be great.
But if they were still together now, could you imagine the infighting that would happen considering the MAJOR direction change for Ryan/Jon and Brendon/Spencer? We could possibly have the most genre-confused album ever (if they would ever release one). And they'd probably hate one another after the fact or at least be resentful. How awkward would that be?
If things got to the point where they stopped speaking to one another, splitting on good terms was probably the only remaining option 4them.
And I agree. If they were still together, either they wouldn't release a new album, because they were fighting too much, or the album, or the music would sound so different and all instruments would go in different directions.

I kind of dislike Ian and Dallon, just because they replaced them. They're probably great people, but not as great as Ryro and Jon. I REALLY don't like the Brallon thing either. It doesn't have the same flare as Ryden...Rydon...idk.

I´ve always loved Ryan's voice, but for some reason I liked this type of sound better when combined with Brendon's a little more alternative voice. I'm not really a fan of Ryan, but he's got some mad skills at lyrics. Panic's old sound wouldn't be anything without lyrics that take a week to figure out what they mean, and they just need him back. I really hate his voice though, he can give up backup and let Jon do it. He's way better.

Panic! isn't quite as good without Ryan, he wrote nearly all of the songs. But, I'm not saying that I like TYV though. In my opinion, they're too Beatles like, and less good. I'm glad that all the members, ex and current, of P!ATD are happy tho... I'm just really disappointed. Plus, the new song by PATD isn't that good, Brendon's vocals are the only thing that keep me listening to it. I hope one day Ryan decides to go back to Panic...

I would love to say that all I care about is the music, but that just isn't true.
I've seriously fallen in love with these boys, 'Northern Downpour' has eased me through some pretty rough shit, and it breaks my heart that they're not together, and all of us fans are in turmoil over it. D:
This probably sounds silly, but I really do care about every member of this band, and I love EVERY song they have ever written.
I wish them luck wherever they go, and I will always be listening.

I think Ryan left the band because he wanted to be the lead singer. He used to be, until they heard Brendon. :/ His voice is good, but not original and powerful like Brendon's is.
This is my opinion, just based on what I've observed over the years.
Ryan previously said, 'emo is shit' and I think that's the main reason the band reformed so much to this indie sound in Pretty.Odd. I have a feeling that Brendon and Spencer are going to go back to the old style, with Ryan gone.

You know, every time I read/hear stuff about the break up, I always think in the back of my head that one day Ryan is definitely going to come back, with or without Jon.
Like, I dunno - I feel like the whole break up wasn't real. It's just so weird to think Panic! is actually Panic! without the two. I remember hearing about this and thinking it was a joke at first. It's just like, sdkfljadksf D; idek.

Everything "worked" with P!ATD because Ryan and Brendon were exactly what the other needed. Ryan was highly-creative and valued lyrical genius, and Brendon was an amazing vocalist and awesome performer. When you combine those two types of artists, you get an awesome, dynamic band. Neither of those qualities can survive on their own, which is why TYV and PATD are both under-appreciated. PATD is now not unique enough to be remarkable, and TYV are too abstract to be relatable.

I really wish they would go back to panic. I loved the songs on the first album, I love all of them. The second album, without Ryan and Jon, was kind of meh. I want their crazy titles, insane lyrics that no one knew what the hell they were talking about (but were completely poetic), and the weird/amazing/emo/indie/30's circus/burlesque/porno theme back!

The whole reason they left is because Ryan and jon liked the whole beatles sound and everything and brendon and spencer wanted to stay panic! Brendon says they're all still amazing friends and are a fan of each others music. But if they had stayed together and made a new record it wouldn't turn out as good as it would if everyone liked it in the band so. It's sad but oh well I'm a fan of TYV and P!ATD !!!

I never paid attention or listened to Panic! At the Disco (not my thing). Last night I saw the Young Veins and was extremely impressed. Love the sound, the look, everything. Super nice guys, too. THIS is what music needs. Real rock 'n roll. I'm excited! Can't wait for the album.

I'm disappointed with New Perspectuve, though an incredibly catchy song. What made Panic! at the Disco such a unique, individual band before was the fast-paced mind-blowing lyrics with the catchy, quick music. With Ryan gone, I have no idea what's going to happen. I love Jon and Spencer to death, but honestly, this split wouldn't have been quite so heartbreaking if Ryan and Brendon had continued on with P!ATD. Brendon did write two great songs on PO, though [Folkin' Around and IHFIHS]

No. Not that I don't get your point, but Ryan and Spencer were best friends for ages, and they were the ones who started Panic!, so I'd have been far more heartbroken if it had been Spencer and Jon who left, actually... Ryan and Jon left the band, which is sad, because Ryan was sort of the one who started it and I actually liked Jon a lot, but Spencer and Brendon were the ones who supported the band, certainly. They deserve it, and they're doing great things with it.

if you really think about it, you're getting the best of both worlds because of the split. fans of fever can enjoy music related to that sense, while fans of pretty.odd. can listen to music closer to that album. i liked both, so for me i'm getting two kinds of music at once, instead of waiting for the next album in general.

I'm glad they split. IMO, Ryan's lyrics are much, much better than Brendon's and I really love the sound of his voice for the music they do. Brendon's voice usually annoyed me sometimes live. Ryan sounds the same live as he does on an album which is a true talent.
Plus, Pretty. Odd. was a FAR more superior album than Fever. And "New Perspective", while catchy, is lyrically, a terrible song. And "Oh Glory" doesn't sound much better.

Brendon agreed that Ryan is a great songwriter, and that he kinda thinks his poetry sucks. A fever you Can't Sweat Out, and Pretty. Odd. were great in thier own ways. Both Brendon and Spencer think that Panic! At The Disco, and The Young Veins will flourish, and both become great bands.
Can't we just say that there are no teams, and like both bands for their individual styles?

But if they were still together now, could you imagine the infighting that would happen considering the MAJOR direction change for Ryan/Jon and Brendon/Spencer? We could possibly have the most genre-confused album ever (if they would ever release one). And they'd probably hate one another after the fact or at least be resentful. How awkward would that be?
If things got to the point where they stopped speaking to one another, splitting on good terms was probably the only remaining option 4them.

People, there is no proof that Ryden existed. Give it a rest. Brendon's lyrics are not as good as Ryan's in general. Take a look at "New Perspective". The song is catchy, but the lyrics are horrid. And what is "who cares Divine Intervention"?
Oh Glory was pretty impressive though. I hope New perspective doesn't end up on the album though.
